MIAMI vs ALABAMA depth charts

Some of you forget Bama is replacing four starters on the O line and the fifth is changing positions.

Let me guess “No drop off” for an o-line that loses three guys ranked among the top 100 players overall in this year’s draft?

I'll let you in on a little secret here. Alabama has a better player at every position than we do except maybe kicker/punter.

None of our other players match up to whatever Alabama has. Even if we did have comparable players, Manny is still in charge and running the defense like he has since 2016. We will be out-coached in every aspect of the game like we always have.

The offense will have no consistent running game, and we will start the season with non-D1 players like Mark Pope and Dee Wiggins playing against Alabama. Its part of the Manny system of starting players based off of seniority/loyalty. D'Eriq King will be healthy and ready to go but will be completely shook just like he was against Clemson last year.

The defense will be exposed against Alabama to the tune of the UNC game last year. Our defensive line is the most underwhelming group since 2013. Zach McCloud will continue to be a rotational starter despite being a non-D1 player. The linebackers are the worst in D1 and D2 football. Mannys awful scheme, lack of LB recruiting, and refusal to hire a legit LB coach has us essentially playing a 9-man defense against 11-man offenses.

No other football program in the history of mankind has had linebacker play like this:

Our defensive backs are still average at best with the exception of Stevenson, who has a high football IQ.

We still dont have a legit return man. I hope Restrepo can figure it out. Maybe Rambo.

The light at the end of the tunnel is that besides Manny, the coaching staff now seems to be respectable. The recruiting at most positions is improving. We have legit options at QB if King gets hurt and for the future. If Manny leaves and Lashlee takes over with T-Rob as defensive coordinator, we can improve in the future.

BUT, until then, we are going to be annihilated by Alabama, lose to the rising UNC, and at least one other mediocre team. We do not have a comparable roster to Alabama.

Are you just checking CIS out or are you a fan?

The thing that keeps me hopeful is that we have a Veteran team that has played in so many different types of games over the years.
Bama has key players in key positions that have not even started a game yet.

That being said they do have a lot of talent and the best coach in the business at preparation.
So it is going to be a dog fight most likely.

Bubba, Mallory, Rique and King probably start. Also, Hall probably would have been a starter if he went to Bama.

If you believe SP+ (I think the best CFB metric), we are an 8-point underdog. We will likely lose, but I don't understand the overwhelming pessimism.

It's Comparing two deep depth charts, I'll say everything is much much closer than I thought, except for the bama front seven thats the only difference.

Low key didn’t even need to post this article. Lol. We’ve been pointing this out. Again, NO EXCUSES. It’s nice to see another site show how much talent we have. If we get blown out the building, I’ll repeat it in this thread; it will not be due to talent. It will be squarely on coaching.

i expect a drop off at OL because of when we play them but not by the end of their year.

But Neal and Ekiyor were full time starters and studs. Owens started several games, I think. The rest of them are primarily raw but (outside of Randolph) highly recruited blue chippers who have only had spot duty at best. Basically they are replacing 2 starters if you count Owens (and when he started for ****erson there was no drop off).

Whichever of our defensive ends starts opposite their OT not named Neal, Diaz has to take advantage of more and hopefully it’s Harvey and Johnson and not Mccloud. Otherwise I don’t see an advantage with our interior over Owens and Ekiyor, yet, unless Ford, Nesta and HH take big jumps from last season.

Our offensive line, surprisingly, I expect to be better against their d line. Mathis, Smith, Ray, Egoibe, are studs but I like an improved Donaldson, Zion, etc. to at least be able to run the ball. Zion versus Will Anderson or Allen will be major. If those guys aren’t shown down it’ll be a disaster. If it’s Scaife or Williams versus the other OLB they have to make bigger jumps since last season.

But, I do think our OL takes a nice jump next year and we can run on them some. As long as Lashlee doesn’t get too cute in the passing game we could be better than we think.

I pretty much agree with everything. My only disagreement is Lashlee taking over. I would prefer not hiring a first time head coach. I don’t want them learning on the job.

Because most people here are miserable *****

I mean I’d be miserable as **** as well if I couldn’t afford to fly a $500 banner or if I donated my $10 to put up a billboard that turned into a bangbus shoot

What makes the star ranking comparison virtually irrelevant is that Bama has a ratio of something like 6 analysts for each player on our team (including walk-ons) studying their every tendency, and they’ve been doing it around the clock for the past year. Same for every other team they play.

They know which post-workout smoothie our third string kicker likes on Tuesdays, and they have a former NFL head coach who knows exactly how tight our walk-on OT likes his ankle wrap.

Hard for me me to care how the recruiting rankings compare when they have the manpower to know every team they play inside and out. That’s a problem.

Ppl may be mad, but ppl cannot handle the truth.

We have a lot of work to do before we can claim we can dethrone anyone, let alone beat the defending national champs.
Anything can happen in football, e can beat them, yes, anything is possible with hard work, ethic and execution. But... again.... we got a lot of work to do.

EPIC POST SLOW CLAP 👏 EARNED

People the training never ever stops when your gathering rings .

People here LOLOL at me when I talk training and the toughness to the point of dropping to the floor.

Training / working does not end when coach says hit the showers or Spring practice is over

THE SEASON NEVER ENDS IN THE CHASE FOR RINGS.

People what read here is NORMAL in every way players have eyes on them day and night.

One day I was at JC Penny’s at Dadeland and Ken Dorsey was there with 2 campus escorts never let him out of there sites.

BAMA believes wholeheartedly
“You train like no other so you can be like no other”

Easy to say but a road less traveled a lonely road to CHAMPIONS

Manny **** your mom or your sister?

Line will be +9.5 to open and +13.5 at game time if I had to guess right now. This assumes King looks good this fall.

Until proven on the field as otherwise, correct.

They've been reloading with little/no drop off going on 13 yrs straight.
