Miami visited Jhavonte Dean today

View as article
Alabama hardly contacts the kid and yet he still lined up at the door.

Winning solves everything.

How did Alabaga start reeling in monster classes right away coming off 15 years of similar mediocrity to us and Sabag going 7-6 in year one?

@DMoney I know you said you weren't worried.

Is this a smokescreen to build suspense?

Able,
You are a seasoned vet with a well-honed BS meter. Did that sound like a kid who is signing with Alabama?

From everything I've heard, Alabama doesn't want a JUCO corner anymore. Dean is trying to save face and build suspense. Cane.

Building suspense by making himself look like a cuck. These dudes have reached new lows.

One thing i will say with this staff is I get irritated with the hype tweets on official visit weekends and then appear to have little substance. With that being I still definitely believe we are getting dean
Are coaches not supposed to show excitement when hosting recruits?

I think he's saying he's feeling like the OV doesn't has the effect it should have afterwards

Naw, if you are that hype give us some good news on the visit( commitment or something...) or tone it down if nothing is going to pop in the next few days

The program itself will do everything it takes to win. That program winning is all that matters to the people around here.

At that time the recruits saw him win a championship at lsu and then go to the nfl.
That's what it was? They saw a career 8-4 type HC who just quit on his NFL team and went 7-6 in his first year at Alabaga, and he had much more juice than a guy like Rick because of the "win and they will come" theory? Ok.

The staff is going in home with dean today before he heads back to school.

They should ask him to contact bama.... see where he truly stands? I've read they're trying to get Henderson( prolly for quality depth) if they miss..... Dean is insurance....Maybe he's willing to wait it out??? They were so deep....a talent like Nigel Knott shirted...not to mention Shyhem Carter etc....They have several options could even move Fitzpatrick or Jones to CB...Playing time at Bama will be extremely difficult to get for both of them....IMO

These dudes want to win and go to the nfl. They saw saban win a natty and coach in the nfl. The records didnt matter because they saw that man do what they wanted to do. Mcfarland called saban the god of college football. That shows you what most of these recruits think about him.

They are loaded at cb.I dont think henderson is a take for them either. Bama has 26 commits including dean so in there view its probably 25. They are going after two 5 star d-linemen, two 5 star wrs and a 4 star, 4 star fs.

From a logical standpoint, Bama makes no sense. This kid needs to play right away. He need these next two years of film to become a thought for the NFL. He's on a time crunch. I don't understand how he expects to do that at Bama with the amount of talented CBs they already have ON the team, plus the incoming ones.

Again, that was just logic. We know how much that plays a factor this time of year.

Did McFarland call Sabag the god of college football in 2007 (which is the time we're discussing) or after he won a handful of NCs at Alabaga? Because if you're talking about right now then you changed the subject.

I was talking about overall. But even in 2007 like i said he won a chapionship just in what 03 and was coaching in the nfl. You dont think selling that to a tennager has effect?

Oh I would gladly split with them on Dean and Henderson. Sign me up to just get the one that doesn't go Bama...BUT the problem is Florida is probably still ahead of us for Henderson too.
