Miami v. Iowa State - Sweet 16

So they’re the next to lowest seed left. What’s the scoop on them? First year coach. They were something like 2-22 in ‘21. Two respectable tournament wins so far though.
Play extremely hard and have butt cheek offense. That’s my astute take after watching 1.5 of their games.

They beat a bunch of good teams early, were ranked pretty high and then had a terrible end to the season. Now, looks like they hit the reset button. We will need to bring it.

Iowa State is very offensively challenged… they were held to 36 points in a game vs Texas this season and also multiple games for them only scoring in the low 40’s.

On paper this is a much easier match-up than Auburn or USC.
They play a slow style. Brockington can ball though. They have 3 or 4 guys that shoot the 3 well, lock em down defensively and should be good.

Let's be respectful to the opponent. Both teams are in the sweet 16 for a reason. If anything, we know two things about our canes. They will play defense and cause turnovers, and the game most like will be close.

They are physical and Brockington is a shot maker. Kalscheur is a wild card. He can 0-10 from three or 8-10. For whatever reason they started making threes this weekend. If they continue that it’ll be a tough game. If they revert back to who they really are, Elite Eight here we come. Think we match up well against them, especially with how we’ve been playing defense.

No such thing this time of year. Miami has to come out sharp and attack from the opening tip. If Miami can jump out to a big lead, they can ride the wave because ISU isn't a team built to put up points in bunches.
