It's college football. You turn over roughly 25% of your roster every year. Why do people think Miami is the only school who loses players to graduation or the draft? Besides, most of those guys were net negatives to the team performance last year.
Agree about the turnover not being atypical. While our overall talent is probably improved since 2018 thanks to the portal, we're still far from perfectly constructed considering we're breaking in new starters at several key positions.
QB1 - 2019 simply can't be worse than 2018.
RB1 - Homer was a bell cow. Dallas/Harris/Lingard is a good trio.
WR2 - Cager led us in TDs and caught at least one ball in every game. Everyone loves Osborn.
LT1 - St. Louis started every game. Scaife has never started at LT.
LG1 - Donaldson should excel here but is being asked to play a new side.
C1 - Gaynor has never started a game at center.
RG1 - Reed, Hillery, Campbell should be an upgrade over Mahoney, Jones, Boulware
RT1 - Herbert has never started.
DE1 - Hill replaces Jackson.
DT1 - Silvera becomes the guy. Never started.
DT3 - Nnoruka replaces Tito.
LB 4 - Jennings plays the role of Mike Smith.
CB1 - Ivey should be fine although untested.
CB3 - Blades should be fine although untested.
SS1 - Big shoes to fill. Bolden & Carter must be ready.
FS1 - Big shoes to fill. Everyone loves Hall. He's never started.
