Miami ticket office sent me an email asking me to renew...

I put a stop to my tickets also. Unfortunately for me they renewed without asking me because I was enrolled in the 12 month payment plan from the year before and they claim the tickets automatically renew. They also said no refunds will be given. I do have 2 seats and both are in different locations so I’m thinking of keeping one that is first row just in case these ******** decide to do right by the football program and start winning. But I like the OP will not be attending any games.
Lol, I had to contact them to renew the 12 month payment plan. Then, I cancelled after CMU and got a full refund. They're lying to you mane!

And this was my response... The whole fan base should boycott... how long will we be strung along by an incompetent administration?

I have some unfortunate news. I will not be attending any Miami sporting events until Blake James is fired as athletic director. My family has been supporting Miami since the 1970’s when tickets were free with a Burger King purchase. We have stood by this program through probation and everything in between but unfortunately the administration at Miami has willingly allowed our beloved team to fall by the wayside.

This began with Donna Shalala and her agenda to destroy our football program. Do you think it’s a coincidence that when she took over in June of 2001 that our program started falling off a cliff? This sentiment is shared by the majority of fans and I would expect a steep decline in ticket sales until something is done. I refuse to give my earned money to an administration that has failed the fans and the players at every turn.

Mario Cristobal wanted the job at Miami and what did Blake James do? Led a 48 hour search with zero though put into it and hired the easiest candidate NOT the best man for the job. We should be competing for national titles in football not losing to a 1-5 Georgia Tech team at home that lost to the citadel.

Until Blake James and Jennifer Strawley are no longer employed by the University of Miami I cannot and will not give any money or buy any tickets. The problem starts with them. When will James by held accountable for the woeful performance of the flagship team? The majority of our fan base feels the same.

I know you have nothing to do with any of this and I wish you the best as a person however I cannot in good faith continue to attend every home game, travel to multiple road games a year and every bowl game for the last 5 years and continue to be let down by Blake James and his incompetence. He has demonstrated none of the skills necessary to cultivate a winning program. This is not about being a fair weather fan because I can tell you I am far from that. This is about being deceived and let down by an administration that frankly doesn’t care and has allowed us to go from 5 titles in 20 years to the laughing stock of college football.
FIFY .... Formatting is best when we want to make sure something gets read. This is a great message. Everyone should send one exactly like this ! (y)

Mario Cristobal would probably have the same issues here. he is in a great situation at Oregon. they have the money and are fully behind the program. he will be very successful there. I don't believe Mario would be if he was hired instead of Manny.

I do not recall Cristobol wanting the job after acquiring the Oregon HC job.

They are definitely lying. I had the 12 month plan last year and I didn't realize it automatically renewed. I emailed them about 2 weeks ago to stop payment. They first tried to just give me a credit. I said ***** that I want my money back. So they did refund me my money.

Pretty sure they are not obligated to give you a refund. If they are giving people refunds, it is against the terms the people agreed to when they did the pre-purchase payment plan. That's one of the reasons I didn't do it this year. The whole reason they do it is they want to lock you in for the following season before you even get to see how even the start of this season goes. Now, that being said, I agree they should give refunds if people want out. It's just not good business to treat your customers/patrons like a game of "Got Ya".

We've been here before, but the drum beat for actually fixing the athletic department feels very different this time. Let's hope it really happens, in a real way, and we truly decide that the University of Miami deserves to be nothing but the best in every area, and they go out and hire the best and rebuild this thing into what it deserves to be. Because right now, we have people who are truly an embarrassment doing jobs that they aren't qualified to do. It's a very sad state of affairs.

Well the original email did say that at least 15 days before renewal people were supposed to receive a statement of the new price etc. I know I never received one.

Good point. Auto-renew anything is such a scam. I never liked that concept since the moment they rolled it out. It was a blatant attempt to capitalize on the apparent success of 2017 and try to lock up people into giving their money over to the athletic department, no matter what the results on the field or quality of the product would be. Now, it's starting to backfire.

Hopefully, we get a competent department at some point and they get rid of this. If you want to give people a payment plan option and help smooth funding for the department, it makes perfect sense to make it a 12 calendar month payment plan from Jan-Dec, you have until 1/15 every year to make your first payment to lock in preferred pricing and advance seat selection or whatever perks you want to add. Trying to lock people in for the 2020 season by August 30 of 2019 is ludicrous. It's just one example of a million of the type of buffoons that are running the asylum.

Good stuff OP...now pin that response on the front page so everyone can copy/paste (with exception of the Burger King line...insert your own scenario) it for their season ticket rebuttal.
