I see a lot of people here crunching coaching statistics as if the cubbard here is set up for these statistics to translate to the current roster...

You are setting yourself up for a major disappointment if you think Miami has the horses to just plug and play like some of you are forecasting in your dream world.

Bottom line is Miami is lacking in depth, and needs at least a couple recruiting classes to get the depth to where you can just start comparing to strong P5 programs...

Not saying we can't win the coastal, as we all know the coastal is the trash of college football, but calm down, and please don't liter this board next year with Manny Diaz stats with a roster of Dan Mullen 6th year in starksville, and say he sucks because we don't match them..

We need to keep sfla studs home or un will continue to fail. We can get all the five stars we want but we need those ridleys and cooper and defensive studs who saban plucks.

We won 8 and should have won 9-10 with golden. This team wins 10 with richt. We aren't far away from being the top of the acc. We aren't ready to compete for NC yet. But we are close to being a 10 win team.

This is exactly what the op said.

Don't tell us what to do! Obama jr.

We should've won 10 and in fact we outplayed FSU IMO so saying we are far away is crazy. Now if we were in the Atlantic OK but the Coastal? We should win at least 10

Yep.. yep 2016 class is really down to a few extra kids. need Richards to recommit, need cook and the juco CB and a dt.

2017 is really in good shape and likely where we are going to need set our focus.

We had 8 wins but could have just as easily lost 8 games. It was actually a miracle we won 8 games.

Beat Neb in OT
+3 turnovers saved the day vs VT
"the return" at dook
We beat a 3 win Virginia team by less than a TD
GT was moving the ball at will against us until their starting QB got hurt.
Pitt woke up in the 4th Q and nearly came back on us.

I think when you have the 2nd best QB in the ACC, and a veteran roster, top 3 possibly DL in the league, 9-10 win season is possible.

Remember schedule is easier next season imo.

We get FSU at home, drop clemson for nc state.

Get Duke and UNC and Pittsburgh at home.

Also if we get a legit S&C our players should be stronger better shape.

Richt calling plays vs. Coley is a big upgrade imo.

Diaz imo is a big upgrade in style for our personel as a DC too.

Yes, it was a miracle considering the coaching we were working with, not the talent on the roster. It's amazing that we won 8 games this season considering our coach was fired and we were working with an interim coach for almost half the year.

We had possibly the worst coaching in the country under this regime and we still managed to win 8 games this season. We're not a bad team. Yes, we lack depth at places and we're not ready to compete for a national championship but we're capable of winning the division. ****, Golden almost beat FSU twice these last two years.

Oline is a big problemo.

Yes iin 2015 it was, but was a very green unit.

At times we played 4 sophomores up front, usually not a recipe for sustained success.

Another year of improvement returning our top 10 OL, new S&C coach, imo improved OL coach should help a lot.

Some fans are unrealistic. Thought that *** whooping by Clemson would have told us that the talent isn't here like it needs to be....
