I believe that the biggest key to our immediate success will be how coach Kool, our agressive defensive approach, and our new improved S&C will affect our D-line. I really see this swinging things in a dramatic fashion one way or the other. Are our 4 and 5 star DEs and DTs busts, were they grossly misused (we know this is true), or will the combination of both be able to be swung drastically in our favor now that the staff is upgraded? I'm hoping that the light bulbs are collectively lit with these guys. However, until I see it I will remain cautiously optimistic.
If our new staff can turn these kids into the studs that we thought they were (and hopefully still can be) then we can quickly become a powerhouse in the ACC, and beyond. Just my 2 cents though.
Dline improvement becomes the quickest route to us getting back to a dominant program...because it has been pitiful.
