Miami Starters High School Star Rankings

11 of those are from the transfer portal. Pretty obvious Mario hit a home run. Everyone of out transfer portal players looked like quality pickups.
Mario had a mixed bag first couple years but the portal is off to a good start this year for sure

1/2 those guys are transfers
With transfers the hs ranking doesn’t mean much
Bc we take proven production With the portal
The point of it was to see how guys have progressed through their careers

So yes the high school ranking matters

The Portal changes things. Cam Ward makes more money than any recruit ever. He's valued like a six star.

In terms of high school kids, Anez Cooper, Jaden Harris, OJ Frederique and Xavier Restrepo stand out as great evals.
Yeah there’s no agenda to my post

I’m all about stars

Just always interesting to look back and see how this plays out

Thought this would be fun. For informational purposes only. Lemme know if there are any errors

This ultimately speaks to the value of the transfer portal. It is just so much more accurate because it provides a sample size against college athletes. And of course, accurately evaluating high school athletes, but its just so much more of a crap shoot.

By my count, 10 of our starting 22 are transfers.

No doubt. Think you wanna hit on the high school rankings and supplement with the portal, but for us that wasn’t an option anyway

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that as Mario has been building better and better high school classes, his portal classes are looking more efficient and better

So was brown. They listed 12 starters which is why I said 12 can’t start
Gotcha. I said **** it and took Richard out and put Brown in at this point close enough

Was rewatching the game speaking of Brown and he was off to a good start. Had some good run support too
