I love this idea in theory, but it also hamstrings the schools. With the way Mario has worked the flip game that probably wouldn't be to our advantage.

Reis Russell. And Reed Ramsier although with Reed we appear on the outside looking in as he has 4 non-Miami OVs scheduled already. Likely due to our other priorities. Reis has one scheduled for Jun 5 alongside this weekend to UGA, end of may to USC and June 19th to Washington.

And like JHall said about us saying this every year; it feels like we’ve been cursed not to get a true center since Connor Lew flipped to Auburn.

I don’t disagree
Still needs to be within a window of time…think nfl
They have a free agency period but it isn’t running year round

i doubt we continue on reed ramsier now with ford in the books.

reis russell is a possible center so he may remain a priority.

jatori williams, matthews, russell likely the focuses. the african kid from jersey as well as a tackle.

At some point, I have to imagine some sort of CBA will happen which will end up with something like what you’re talking about. I think there’s a thread somewhere on here that discusses it… 😂
 
It seems like he has got pushed out by better prospects. Would be nice if the staff didn’t feel the need to throw dirt about loyalty or what not as if we don’t drop players when higher ranked guys come along.

So the staff said if your looking we looking? Nothing new my guy, that’s not them throwing dirt on him or anything it’s just how recruiting goes.

Mario & Mirabal did their **** thang in ‘23. Our board:

SiSi — paradigm shifting change agent. Single digit NFL pick.

Pancake — honed his skills and now is ready to go at guard for us. Future pro.

Lew — 3&out stud. Flipped late to auburn.

Monroe Freeling — 3&out — more traits than pure production; still most likely a day 1 pick. Probably made the wrong choice prioritizing Olaus over him; however every scouting report on him just talks about how raw of a lineman he is. That’s Stacy searles for you

Olaus — transferred to UK from Bama. Was mostly a backup rotational guard at bama; supposed to start at UK this upcoming year. This made me LOL tho

Guard/Tackle hybrid take Tommy Kinsler is likely the starting RT for Ole Miss this year.

Frankie just transferred to JMU so we’ll see how well he does. Hard to call him a complete miss imo. Always knew he was a moonshot project.

2025 Season (Sophomore RS) - In his lone season with the Buccaneers, Tinilau played in 11 of the 12 games for ETSU...Tinilau started 10 of the 12 games at left tackle for the Blue and Gold...Played 40 snaps or more in every game he appeared in during the 2025 season...Played a season-high 90 snaps in ETSU's rivalry win on the road at Western Carolina.

I believe the staff sees Rhys Woodrow as a real possibility for Center of the future. I think Woodrow may be capable of winning that job in 2027. We'll see. I agree with the staff here. I think Woodrow could be excellent at Center.

Regarding SJ, I was also shocked at how small he ended up being(pause). No way SJ plays guard here at his size and quite frankly I doubt he ever starts at Center either. Where does that leave him? He could always be an inline blocking TE, FB or H-Back. I wonder if the kid can catch.

PS. Edit. I could have sworn that Mario mentioned SJ at TE in his Spring Game Preview presser.

Yeah I think it’s interesting. No one I trust more than Mario and Mirabal with OL stuff but it’s still a struggle recruiting a true center. Just shows how tough it really is.

Agreed. I honestly think it's one of those things where you recruit the kids you really like and believe in to be interior OL prospects then you put them through the gauntlet when they get here during spring. That's when you get a good idea of who will be able to play Center at this level and who can't.

Huh? The issue is the implication we’re dropping him at least in part for looking as if he’s being disloyal. When we know our program is still looking. In reality we as a program have continued looking and have signed multiple OLine prospects recently and Lintons likely being pushed out.

Really wanted Kinsler to work out here, really would have been nice still having him here as RT or swing tackle
