Interesting take. I hadn’t thought about Mario’s flip game.I love this idea in theory, but it also hamstrings the schools. With the way Mario has worked the flip game that probably wouldn't be to our advantage. At what point does National Signing Day disappear and is simply replaced with binding committment contracts that are not limited to a single arbitrary date? In other words, in light of the new era of recruiting, why not just give kids a binding contract to sign when they're ready to commit, regardless of date?
I know the history, the NCAA and that (generally) kids under 18 can't sign contracts. Just wondering why these archaic remnants are still around.
