Miami opens up as a slight underdog vs. Notre Dame

So because you don't know, you get to tell people they also don't or can't know?

Some of us speaks in absolutes as if there has been practice or games. Neither has happened. How about we wait and see....its not like we don't have a brand new defensive coaching staff and scheme....lol.

Lol yea Mario won’t do **** here. And my only defense for him is this isn’t all on him. The game has completely changed with the portal and NIL. You have guys leaving after 1-2 years instead of being patient. He has to pull double duty bringing in recruits and rerecruiting his current roster.
"Mario won't do **** here"

Miami just had:

The Number 1 Offense in the country.
a 10 win season
The number 1 player picked in the NFL draft.
Got another top portal QB.
Just landed the number 1 player in the country over UGA, OSU, Oregon.
Is on the verge of closing in on a top 5 recruiting class.
Getting a state of the art sports complex built on campus.
Helped bring in an AD that actually knows what he's doing. (Except baseball).

Has the support of two billionaires in NIL.

Let me know when he make the playoffs and wins a game there. Or here maybe start with a bowl win. They were in the drivers seat for a spot then ****ed it away losing to 2 teams they should have beat by 2 plus tds. Just wasted the best offense in school history and a number one pick this past season.

Would you like me to continue on? Maybe talk about the loss to Middle Tennessee State, winning 5 games in 2022, and the Ga Tech debacle in 2023? Or zero ACC championship appearances?

Miami just had:

The Number 1 Offense in the country. - Cool. Do it again. Prove it wasn't a fluke.
a 10 win season - What do we have to show for that?
The number 1 player picked in the NFL draft. - Agree, big plus. Cam Ward is a star.
Got another top portal QB. - Seems that way. Let's hope he is.
Just landed the number 1 player in the country over UGA, OSU, Oregon. - Cool. Go get more.
Is on the verge of closing in on a top 5 recruiting class. - OK, now do something with it.
Getting a state of the art sports complex built on campus. - Cool. That's Mario's doing?
Helped bring in an AD that actually knows what he's doing. (Except baseball). - Mario did this?

Has the support of two billionaires in NIL. - OK, now he needs hardware to prove the ROI and not just the pat on the back of "you almost did it"
Most of what you listed ultimately doesn't amount to much. If Mario goes 7-6 this year and is fired (neither of which are likely to happen), what would his legacy be while the HC here? None of those things get hung up in the rafters or go in the trophy case.

Until Mario gets into and wins the ACCCG and/or gets into the playoffs, he hasn't achieved anything. He's laid the groundwork to build upon but until something is actually built you're arguing that he has achieved a lot of nothing.

If Mario doesn’t win a championship at Miami, his tenure here would be a failure when you take into account everything he has available to him. Zero excuses.

Thing about Mario is both skeptics and believers have valid reasons for their beliefs. Myself? I think last year Mario missed a golden opportunity to accelerate his progress

One good thing I anticipate is that ND won't have a large traveling fanbase. in 2017, i would say 20% or more of the stadium was domer fans. once the asskicking commenced, they were 90% gone after the first drive in the second half. you could see the misery in their faces. it was joyous. no ******* way they are coming back.

I don’t know what you were looking at in 2017, I was there, and I would say it was about 5% - 10% Notre Dame fans, at most. There weren’t that many.

One of the best nights of my life.

My dad and I were in seats next to each other. I was screaming as loud as I could into his ear, and he couldn’t hear me. If I did that in a quiet room I’d have put him in the hospital. But it was so loud in there that night he couldn’t make out a single syllable.

Magical, incredible night I’ll never forget.

As far as electricity, it’s going to be hard to top this year, but I think we’ll give it a good try.

Look Notre Dame will be the best overall team we face in regular season, and it will be a very tough game and out for us (hope for a game like 2017 where everything went our way in the first half, but dont expect that). That being said, this is not like bama vs miami in 2021 where every knew we were going to lose by 4 TD's due to being overmatched on oline and dline. We have the dline and know with toure and bonner the backers to limit love and ground game and we can assert our running game on them somewhat also. Notre lost to northern illinois and marshall in early season games during recent year and they are playing a very inexperienced QB. I personally think our LOS are a push, so it comes down to beck's timing with our receivers and limiting turnovers etc. Also, i think our special teams and secondary will have to make one more big play than notre dame for us to win IMO.

lol this game will be nothing like 2017 just keeping it 💯. Doesn’t mean we can’t win and shouldn’t be confident, but if ur expecting that type of game, please take the drunk goggles off.
