Miami opens at -18.5 vs USF

Some of you realize you’re just posters right? You can take anyone lightly, it won’t effect the results…
IM TAKING THEM LIGHTLY

That’s a trap spread! I wouldn’t touch it. This game is going to be closer than that in my opinion. USF is no slouch and they come in with that stupid exhausting offense and our D needs to get off the field. I hope I’m wrong and we run them out of the building but I’d be cautiously optimistic.
What, exactly, is the "trap" being set?

I hope USF are ranked top 15, that the line goes way down, and that USF gets all the hype this week.

Should get our people out in numbers again.

Hopefully it does, but I don't see any match-up on our schedule where we shouldn't be the favorite. We should win every game in the regular season if we can put it all together and play complementary football.

The line will likely drop as more people jump on USF hype train during the week.

Honestly, I think we win this one by an easy three touchdowns. UF was able to pretty much shut their offense down. They struggle against P5 teams with bigger athletes on the lines. We should be able to control the line of scrimmage on both sides. They have some quality skill players and the quarterback is a legit run threat but I can’t us letting them hang around like Florida did.
They played us tough in the first half last year before we pulled away. Mario and staff know not to sleep on them. Think we handle business again.

Just did all that against a much better nd team and dominated them till the shell game showed up.

I’ve seen some tape and ND had plenty of chances and it was their own mistakes they lead to Miami making plays. ND was one missed assignment away from a couple of massive chunk plays on offense.

Brown is a much better runner than their QB but yes Miami should be able to handle them over 4 quarters but I expect it to be closer than the spread.

One thing I will say that hasn't been mentioned is the potential for a let down game on their side. We don't need it by any means, but watching the replay of their win against UF, they looked like they won the super bowl after the final whistle blew. They might be physically and emotionally spent after two wins like that to open season, with this last one vs UF going down to the wire.

This is what I’m thinking. That was a massive win for them and for college kids it’s really hard to get amped like that two weeks in a row even if it is a Miami game. There is going to be some level of them celebrating/getting praise on campus for them to refocus. Golesh vs heatherman is where the game will be decided.
