While Mario Cristobal and his Miami Hurricanes coaching staff hosted numerous visits this past weekend from many top recruits in the classes of 2026 and 2027, Miami has now offered a four-star wide receiver, Jaden Upshaw, who is related to a current Hurricane.



If you follow the Hurricanes closely, you may recognize the last name "Upshaw," as he is the younger cousin of freshman Miami Hurricanes WR Daylyn Upshaw.

Upshaw is rated as a four-star prospect, ranked as the 127th-best player in the country, the 22nd-best wide receiver in his class, and the 13th-best player in the state of Georgia.

Hailing from Lee County, Georgia, he has received offers from notable programs including the University of Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and Clemson.

Upshaw was a significant contributor for Lee County in 2024, helping the team achieve a 13-1 record and reach the state semifinals. He led the team with 63 receptions for 842 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The class of 2026 still needs to be filled, but the groundwork is being done on prospects in the class of 2027.

Yeah I think he’s a physical receiver but I just don’t see it speed wise at all.

Majority of that tape is him working in underneath zones lol I didnt see any of him getting caught from behind because he was never behind the defense. He's not a burner but I see a kid that understands how get open.
