Not denying that...just saying that if the numbers were updated after nearly a DECADE of data creep, those numbers would look markedly different considering UA's struggles and Adidas winning more apparel contracts over the years and having their own renaissance for a while in the industry. Nike's still top dog - you just didn't have to post an 8+ year old article to "prove" it.
Context matters when it comes to data. I also don't believe that's all the data that's out there...that's just all you could find in a swift Google search that backs up your POV. Big difference.
OK, prepare to have your methodology flipped back on yourself.
Since 2015, name all of the "more apparel contracts" that adidas has won from Nike.
I'll wait.
Maybe adidas has picked up some UA or Russell or Lululemon schools. But I'd like to hear about all the Nike schools they snatched, as that would be the only relevant reason for a significant shift in the Nike percentage.
Other than "data creep", of course...
Please stop acting like there needs to be an annual survey taken in order for us to be able to draw any conclusions. EVERYONE knows that Nike is dominant, whether an 8 year old pie chart says it, or whether a 1 year old pie chart says it.
