If David isn’t allowed to grow and TRAVEL to recruit, shame on us. He’s the most undervalued person on this board. It’s insane the disrespect he’s given here. 👑

Agree. The carousel of return guys didn't help. Not sure why they could not decide on one guy during practice and just ride with them. Using actual game time as an audition was not a good idea.
 
Man, I'm trying to be positive but some of you have absolutely no idea what the **** you're talking about and this thread is hard to read. Patke ******* sucks as a special teams coach, that's not debatable. They get penalized every play and NOBODY can field a punt. I've never seen so many fumbles in my life, it's insane.

People saying him staying on as a special teams isn't a big deal are incorrect. He's already proven he sucks at it (the strikers were good under him but that's irrelevant since he's not coaching there anymore) and he can't recruit for ****. Put Lockette there and it's a major, major upgrade.

We dont cover kicks well and we are even worse in the return game. Literally the only things going well on ST are the ones that require the least amount of input from the ST coordinator.
 
So we don’t have kicking specialist in staff? Patke is supposed to teach kids how to kick?

One possible take is that Patke maybe had a hard time handling multiple roles. Some claim his work with the strikers had them improve. Maybe sticking with one thing might help. Specials just seemed neglected and he really did not have to do much with Hedley and Borregales. Just trying to be optimistic on the real possibility he stays in a more limited role. :noidea:
