Wow this Simpson rumor came out of nowhere.

I think it was Bud Elliot on Cover 3 that said he didn’t think DeBoer was going anywhere when the PSU rumors were flying around because people in the building were saying he’s all-in on their 5* backup, and wants to be at Bama during that window.

Looks like that is how it’s playing out.

Completely with you on this! Beck has gotten a lot of ****, but we're here because of his steady play. He's made timely big throws and has his team locked in. I'm going throw this out and probably catch flack. Would Ward have us where we are right now???

There wouldn’t be a team that could do anything with us if we had Ward. We would be number one and undefeated right now. And probably beating everyone we played by 20+. Ward with this defense is unstoppable.

Brother, I think Simpson fits like a glove in this offense. He has an absolute cannon. He is versatile and a threat with his legs. He has played in big games. Yeah, he lost to FSU, should have lost to Auburn, and got smoked by Indiana. But his team sucks. His line, his RBs, his WRs, they all suck. None of them would make our squad. People would say, "Ryan Williams would play here, what are you talking about"? Ryan Williams would get sniped by a fan in the top row of HRS because he drops passes. He's ****. Simpson is legit.

Would instantly vault to top of list for me. Maybe not decisively, but certainly in that top 2-3 range.

He’s my top guy. High level play in SEC, road environment and took a roster with many holes to the quarterfinals of the CFB.

I don’t like Simpson as a pro prospect but as a college QB I think he’d be superb here behind our OL, with our running game and receivers. I’ve been all in on Sorsby from the jump but he’d actually get me even more excited than Sorsby. He was in the Heisman running before Bama started showing who they really are.

He’s a tough kid, makes plays happen off script with his legs, and always has his eyes downfield. Really good at going through his progressions and making the right read. Good 3 level passer. I think I read his father is a HC at a smaller school, too? You can see that in his game.

I need to take off my Bama hate glasses and relook. When I watched them, he seemed like a slow processor to me who didn't have good pocket awareness. I know his OL was not as good as usual. But they gave up a lot of sacks and some of them that I saw were due to Simpson just not seeing the field.
