MIAMI LANDS NO.1 2026 PROSPECT JACKSON CANTWELL

You can’t be serious about this post. Only a truly miserable person can be so negative on a day that UM lands a commitment from the #1 player in the country. It is almost as if you are trying to be negative.

I don't understand how my post was negative. Do you not see the landscape of college football today? Players transfer out every year to the highest bidder. It's a great time to be a fan because of it, and the players are finally getting the respect they deserve.

Why should Cantwell be any different and not play in the place that makes the most sense for him? Imagine he was your relative or friend and you took away your bias, you would want the scenario I laid out to happen.

And I don’t give a crap what you think! Read my posts hater, and you’ll see I always believed in Mario and always believed he could get this done. Well a bunch of haters like you were crying! Lmao

How can anyone with a straight face say "I always believed in Mario" when you have seen his record here in Miami and what he has done on the field? Honest question.

You act like Cantwell is walking in to a team that’s coming off a 5-7 season

“I picked Miami because of the relationships I had at the school and because of how good the offensive line coaching is with Cristobal and (Alex) Mirabal,” Cantwell said. “They recruited me the hardest out of any school and had a great development plan for me, and have had a history of giving young guys that are worthy a chance to play.”

Jackson Cantwell talks NIL

Every finalist made their on-field pitch, showcased what they had academically and of course there were NIL conversations. When you’re the top-rated prospect in the land you are going to prosper financially in the new era of college sports. Cantwell’s deal On3 is hearing is for no less than two million per year.

“I definitely don’t like the narrative that it’s why I chose Miami because that is a slanderous narrative,” Cantwell said. “Obviously they do it well, but all of my finalists did, and I’m blessed to have been in a position where that’s the case.

“But it’s always good to have a backup plan with something like that because football doesn’t always work out, and if I had that invested combined with a degree or even a masters I would be in a great spot.”

Miami out-recruited every other finalist

“The biggest takeaways from this process are that I built a lot of fantastic relationships with a lot of great people and coaches,” Cantwell explained. “That college football moves really fast and that everyone is quite athletic, and that while not everyone has your best interest in mind a lot of people do and that’s what makes this all worth it.”

“It was Miami in March, UGA in April, and then Miami again in May,” he said.

“That and they just recruited me the hardest. Plain and simple. They put the most effort into me, called me and came to see me a lot, and it just felt genuine the whole way. And a lot of the players there seem to love playing for them as well.”

You know 5 star Jared Curtis took a discount right? He’s making under $1 million in his first year

Oregon had by far the biggest offer for him

Just because one guy took a discount, Georgia thinks everyone HAS to and refuses to pay anyone market price? Good luck with that.

It’s either Georgia got beat heads up for the best player in the nation or they’re poor and can’t afford 5 star players unless they get a deep discount. I have trouble believing UGA can’t afford players.

When it comes to recruiting, I do! Enough said.

Francis started at IMG and played against the best competition in HS before early enrolling. Jackson has an incredible ceiling, but I have no clue the competition out in Missouri. There will be some curve (pause) for Cantwell.

@DMoney said on yesterday's pod I believe that he's a December enrollee, so like Francis he'll be here for Spring to compete for one of the OT spots.

Cam Ward #1 overall pick from UM
Ashton jeanty #6 overall from Boise State.

Would it have made more sense for either of them to have played in the SEC? Would it have improved their draft positions? if the answer is no then you have my answer for why your argument does not make sense. The best players will always be recognized for what they are.

The #1 high school basketball player will be at BYU next year and will almost assuredly be a top 3 pick in the 2026 NBA draft. Does he need to transfer to be drafted that high? If your answer is no, then your argument does not make sense.

Cantwell is the #1 high school player in the country from Nixa, Mo. Does he need to transfer to IMG to improve his ranking? If the answer is no, then your argument does not make sense.

And if after reading this post, you still cannot see the obvious flaws in your argument, well then there is nothing more I can tell you as you choose to live in your reality.
