Miami lands another 2026 OL Prospect in Rhys Woodrow

Fair enough. I concede there are no 3 stars in that list. My point was the guy knows how to build great college offensive lines and evaluate NFLers. I don't see how that changes from Bama to Oregon to Miami. You can make the argument it was Saban and access to better talent. But then Skeeter's evidence kicks in. Over a decade of great OL, by hook or by crook, is more than enough evidence to me.

B4 I respond to both u & @skeeter, there’s two ?’s I want to get clear since this discussion is in the thread of a 0* project:

1. Define “building?” Does this mean recruiting & coaching, recruiting only, or coaching only? Does this mean evaluating at the HS level, HS level and Portal, or Portal?

2. Are u suggesting we r to blindly trust evaluations for any prospects recruited?

I’ve been going back and forth with skeeter for a decade or two ever since Shadow’s old board. He’s his own man so I won’t speak for him.And since it’s his debate with you I’ll stay out of it. I already conceded you two were arguing over something different than the post I added about Mario’s success as an OL coach et Bama..

I was golfing and busy all day so didn’t read all of these

But for OL?

I’d say pretty much yes until otherwise proven wrong

The man is on a streak of I believe 6 out of 7 yrs (besides yr 1 Miami) of fielding very strong OL

Of course we all have our own opinions and recruits we like better than others. I get it

But all this negstivity about a kid that that CMC/Mirabal liked enough to take in May junior year is just mind-boggling to me.

But all this “staff isn’t serious” and saying respecting their OL eye is a “hot take” is just ridiculous to me.

I feel more would hit if developed. I just feel it's to much development needed for my taste right now. I'm not a huge fan. I feel like I like him more as a developing dt. I like the wrestling traits n size at dt
U like the size huh?

U didn’t answer my question ?, which I appreciate u golfing & all. We’re in this thread having this discussion for a particular reason.

So what is “building?”

Building to CIS is 6-7 to 8-5 to 10-3 then rinse repeat that ****. "But we won 10, we building bro!"
Oh and my new fave: building to CIS is..."we just need to be average, bro".

I did answer your 1st question…I said yes

As for "building" did I use that word? Or did another poster. And why does it matter? Sounds like semantics to me.

Put a strong OL on the field…Plain and simple. Does that qualify for "building"?

And CMC/Mirabal always do that.

Yes… the whole shootin' match. Put a good OL on the field. And they have always done it. With 3* as part of their OLs

The bar has moved so far from the initial post that this has grown exhausting. The OP was "Mario is like Hartline with evals". I think we are best just wishing this guy the best and moving on.

Nah my initial post here was that CMC/Mirabal fielding **** good OLs with multiple 3* on them was called a “hot take”

That’s clearly BS and why i commented.

I think you are making this more complicated than it is.

Kind of like the other thread "debunking" that Mirabal was a better developer than Searels. We know how that turned out: Cantwell chose Miami over Georgia, he cited Mirabal as the biggest reason, Georgia fans want Searels fired, and everybody in America is picking Miami's 2025 OL over Georgia's.

Mirabal's evaluations get deference because he consistently builds excellent offensive lines. He usually does it with a mix of five-stars like Cantwell and three-stars like Woodrow. This class fits in with what Mirabal usually does, with great success.
