Miami is DEU

Don't see why Johnson and Martin are on this list of "quality" DEs.

Joe Jackson, DJ Johnson, Tyreic Martin, John Garvin, Greg Rousseau, Jahfari Harvey, Pat Joyner, Cameron Williams, and Jason Munoz.

9 quality DE recruits in just a tad over 2 full recruiting cycles is what you call a lack of DE recruiting?

Yeah but when you have 2 of the highest paid dends in the league it has some merit to it though. Vernon 85 million dollar contract and Campbell’s contract is up there to and was almost nfl defensive mvp last year
Brock I love you as a poster but I will go with Myles Garrett/Von Miller just saying.

They are right now

Exactly my issue. It's not about RIGHT NOW. It's an all-time badge. It can change over time, but looking at it this second and saying "these guys have the most players in the league at that position so that makes them position group U" is ridiculous.

Canes have limited dominant WR's or RB's in the league now, but could easily make an argument for WRU or RBU. Or DTU for that matter.

Who are the other guys besides Campbell and Vernon? Campbell can be considered a DT... the real um legacy unmatched in all of cfb.

1. Munoz I believe is being recruited as a DT. He could play some strong side maybe his freshman year but he is being counted on to bulk up for 3 tech.
2. Martin....has done nothing at Miami. Bottom of the depth chart.
3. Joyner was originally recruited to be a LBer, we had to push him more towards DE due to depth issues. Now, he may become a **** fine DE, but the staff saw him more as a LBer.

JJ and DJ are probably gone next year. Which leaves us with Garvin, Rousseau coming off a season ending injury, Joyner, and true freshman Harvey and WIlliams. That's pretty shaky depth to me IMO.

My point was more towards your "lack of recruiting" comment. Munoz is a DE now. We may beef him up for DT, but there's no guarantee of that. Just like Joyner was a WDE that we thought about moving to LB, but he's right back at DE.

D. Jax is definitely gone, Patchan will be back, and Travis Homer has more sacks than Joe Jax this season. I love Joe Jax, but he's not been able to duplicate his freshman performance to date. He only has 4 tackle assists (0 solo tackles) and 0.5 sacks these first two games. He's got to pick his production up if he's looking for a decent draft grade.
