Miami Flo's Predictions

Only reason Texas is going after Cooper this hard is because they missed out on their plan A targets lol. They just offered him in January

But Miami needs more local guys on the staff, even though they been recruiting him for years lol
Exactly that just started recruiting him few months ago, but does texas has south florida local guys on staff lol

Yea I’m not buying that at all either.

It’s simple. ACC. Sucked for 20 years. **** the bed in our best year. NFL production has been *** (teams simply say last year was a fluke). Our games are half full most games vs. majority of the teams we are up against sell out nearly every game.

We have so much against us in comparison to elite teams. Blanks checks just aren’t going to always cut it. Maybe the rooster cam to crow. Idk. I’m just gonna enjoy watching games for the time being.

The situation with these local handlers is getting more out of hand after NIl began.

The issue with the out of state schools is that they only have to dip into Florida whenever they want one kid. We have a huge recruiting pool down here, but it looks like every time we even want three star we have to deal with these people.

This is likely the reason why Mario is so focused on national recruiting. It’s the reason why school like Nebraska or even Wisconsin can come down here and all of a sudden get a kid out of nowhere. They only had to focus on the individuals around one kid. If we’re recruiting six or seven local South Florida kids how many people is the program gonna break off?
It’s a conundrum that I sort of sympathize with considering some of the situations these kids come from. The issue is how much are these local handlers really helping these kids. And streeter actually said something that’s pretty telling in the interview with dmoney. He said something g to the sort of “so you’re taking a kid to chipotle instead of McDonald’s and now you want thousands of dollars”?

And honestly, I think this is the reason why I know single school is able to in one year recruit multiple kids from South Florida. PS2 went to bama and Tyson Campbell went to Georgia. You would figure you could try to get both of them if you were Nick Saban or Kirby Smart. But we couldn’t even hand out enough money to get one.

I think with the amount of NRL that’s being handed out and the legality of the contracts and agents involved; this is starting to become a more difficult issue to navigate in.
But again, this is all speculation

Some nuggets from Flo's show tonight

  • It would take Miami's entire 26 and 27 NIL budgets to outbid Texas for James "JJ" Johnson. Texas gave him crazy money.
  • Luke Chaney says Frederic Sainteus Senior film has blown the staff away, expect news on this recruitment.

Makes sense regarding James Johnson. He was supposed to come to the game this weekend but switched up last minute to hop on a plane and go watch them play against the children of the poor instead. The check for that alone was probably what we paid for Cantwell.

Don’t believe that statement on Johnson.

Number 1 he is not that guy.

Number 2 that would mean every player on the Texas roster would get a major NIL increase.

lol. Flo talks out of his a**. I’m sure UT paid JJ a ton of money but our whole NIL for 2 classes?? Do you know how much that means their total NIL would be?
Sounds insane when u really think about lol. Teams are bringing in 50 players at times between high school and portal and this man says for 2 cycles, so 100 players NIL for one player 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I mean, I wouldn’t take the numbers as literal.

But remember he flipped to texas after a fews weeks of committing to UGA out of nowhere. Clearly money. Would not shock me if they are vastly overpaying
