Those " community " guys voluntarily took jobs elsewhere. Sounds like more bs of local handlers punishing us for petty reasons no other program has to deal with. It truly sucks being a fan of this team sometimes.

Mario needs to win 10+ again this year. No argument Keeping moving forward and correcting mistakes.

But these are the types of ridiculous things Miami has to put up with yearly. You know what I think...and fire away with the jokes. Ill take them. But Mario is an elite recruiter...and is doing an phenomenal job despite all the dumbasses, hanger-ons, Luke's, Fat Slob 7v7 Coaches that love everyone but Miami, Alums who want Twitter clicks, Nike vs Adidas, we play in the AC, etc. I mean we could win 11+ this year and lets just be positive which is tough for this board I Know. But what if Francis and Bain do go first round and Beck comes all the way back and sneaks in....you know what will happen. Probably nothing. Luke will complain Ray Ray only had 13 catches, or why didnt this kid play.

Now not only is he recruiting Freshman, Current Players to stay, Transfers, etc but he is also trying to fight corny outrage. We hold numerous camps filled with local kids and I constantly see tweets about our current players out at the community. At this point I'd rather just go national for all but a few kids. It so absurd what goes on. Just need another media member to now put out an article about how Mario is losing steam. I mean we havent even played a game yet but lets just start 2025 off right. The season cant get here quick enough.
 
I get outside of Jason Taylor and Kevin Beard the main staff doesn’t have many local roots but isn’t our support staff littered with the likes of Frank Tucker, Terry Jefferson, Jorge Baez, Stephen Field, ROLAND ******* SMITH?

This. Plus, these sofla handlers are quick to push their kdis to schools with virtually zero local presence.

Funny how "sofla community" have problems with every single Miami coaching staff.

Had those community guys before and they still went elsewhere. Sounds like a lot of excuses tbh.
 
Win and today's conversation in this thread is null & void.

With money being equal, I don't blame these South Florida kids for going to a program that has had "Not Long Past Positive Success".

Yep. We all know what the real problem is, a bunch of uneducated street hustlers creating rules for thee (UM) but not for me (SEC/B10 schools).

Miami Blow, clueless. Guy regurgitates the same BS you hear from "THE COMMUNITY" - want to be "COMMUNITY" guy. The "COMMUNITY" has always had a problem with every administration. Why ? Because The "COMMUNITY" is not in charge, and they never will be.

Not sticking my nose up at your comment. Is it overlooking if those guys grew from their small positions with us to larger ones at different schools? Overlooking may be not replenishing the cookie jar I guess.
 
Here we go again with Miami isn't plugged into the community line. So much butthurt goes on in that tri-county area with people and handlers aligned with recruits. They live in a one way street world too.

Mario was hired to build the best recruiting staff period, not the best local recruiting staff. I could give two $hits if we have a roster full of 100+ kids from Alaska, just f*cking win games.

It's virtually impossible to ever truly 'solve the disconnect' locally when the goalposts are constantly being moved by youth/high schools coaches, handlers, etc. Weren't everyone and their mothers locally singing the staffs praises 6 months ago? It's the most fickle area of the country to please and will always be that way.

Exactly. The community is literally a bunch of guys who could barely pass 9th grade and yet think they should be a fortune 500 CEO. This is the equivalent of what every HC has to deal with at Miami.

This. This board is very much a microcosm of the community. It's fun to **** on the local team. Everyone else is better, everywhere else is better. There's no real loyalty here at all. Obviously I'm not talking in absolutes, but as a whole, the kids and parents/coaches/handlers/agents/snakes in this area are, pound-for-pound, the biggest bozos in the country.

Facts. I am born & raised in Miami but I personally despise the " community " guys myself. Its a **** clown show down here and I fear nobody can change it. We can no longer give priority to the tri county area and pivot to a different viable long term talent acquisition strategy. Money aside Mario is not in an enviable position.
