When he played here he was a speed back. Definitely useful but he was soft like Franklin. He didn't start using his size until he left.

Golden kept talking about him as a power guy but it just never materialized.

Clinton Portis all the way. Edge and Gore went on to be NFL HoFers, but Portis was a killer at the U. Also, was one of the original tough guys that brought us through some tough times. Always ran hard no matter what the circumstance. Was the lead guy on the best team in NCAA history.
