So he won’t add a win but he’ll prevent a loss?
Isn’t preventing a loss kinda like adding a win

I know we have to see how they come together and I agree with @cway313 that the term is abused, but three freshman all Americans and an all conference veteran is an elite secondary.C'mon now.
We'll see.
I'm emotionally battered.I know we have to see how they come together and I agree with @cway313 that the term is abused, but three freshman all Americans and an all conference veteran is an elite secondary.
Just admit it. You failed algebra.Point taken, but not in the ham handed way I was trying to use it.
Perhaps better said, Haulcy might be the piece that helps prevent a loss to a GT or a Syracuse, but is he really the piece that is getting Miami to 10+ wins and an appearance in ACCCG?
But what if he prevents all the losses? Before everyone gets koo koo for cocoa puffs here, Haulcy isn't going to add +1 to W for Miami.
I believe he'll help prevent a loss or two as a key piece of the team, but he alone isn't the difference between 8-4 and 9-3/10-2 or better.
He's the S from Houston...let's not get crazy here with the legend.
Interesting. I’m not a Klubnick fan but I will tell he’ll be a first rounder if he repeats the success he had last year.I disagree with the QB….I don’t think Klubnik is in Beck’s league as a QB
He’s worth the money if he’s preventing a loss or 2 to an inferior ACC teamBefore everyone gets koo koo for cocoa puffs here, Haulcy isn't going to add +1 to W for Miami.

Fair statement. He’s worth the money if he’s preventing a loss or 2 to an inferior ACC team
Absolutely. Let’s say FSU was a legitimate option for Ward last year but he wanted $500k more but fsu boosters refused. He’s worth the money if he’s preventing a loss or 2 to an inferior ACC team
People not understanding what el gato @Empirical Cane is saying. Before everyone gets koo koo for cocoa puffs here, Haulcy isn't going to add +1 to W for Miami.

Just make the mean people stop picking on me.People not understanding what el gato @Empirical Cane is saying.
Adding a great safety will help prevent 41-38 type losses. However no amount of defensive talent will prevent 13-10 type losses. At that point the offense needs to do something.
Exactly, our secondary last season was minus 2 - 3 and we lost 3 games. So making the secondary complete is at least a plus 2 in my opinion. We won’t be as dynamic on offense but neither will we have to be with a better defense. He would make our secondary elite
Negative nancy over here. Before everyone gets koo koo for cocoa puffs here, Haulcy isn't going to add +1 to W for Miami.

Who did we strike out on that was worth spending money on. Don't make a dumb statement without specificsNow that we’ve struck out on the rest of the portal guys, just spend whatever we have left to make sure Haulcy is a Cane.
They are.Gaby says things looking good
