Despite Miami's 33-20 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, the Hurricanes have dropped to the No. 6 spot in this week's AP Poll.



The Hurricanes were jumped by No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels, after downing the LSU Tigers.

The Louisville Cardinal made the biggest impact in the rankings, jumping seven spots to No. 16 after defeating SMU 41-31. The Mustangs fell back to the No. 22 spot as the Virginia Cavaliers dropped out of the top-25 after losing to West Virginia.

The Hurricanes are set to host the (2-1) Central Michigan Chippewas at Hard Rock Stadium this upcoming Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Check out the full top-25 rankings down below:

That’s a given! They will do anything to keep Miami out the playoffs.

They literally put us in the playoffs when they could have easily kept us out of the playoffs. This goofy narrative has to stop.

Did we really look like a top 10 team?? Our OLine is will coast us a game or two. I remember @k9cane saying preseason he wasn't concerned by our line because of Mario. Well I think it is time to get concerned starting 3 centers in the middle of the line is not playoff level line

what I said was I was 'curious' -- I wanted to see what it looked like. And quite frankly, it doesn't look nearly good enough in the interior. This Oline reminds me of those Erickson units after Jimmy's recruits left. You had a good player or two upfront, but too many other guys who were liabilities and it really hampered you against the decent-to-good defenses

To me you go Samson, Big Ben Rod, McCoy and Jackson on the outside. I do it for two reasons McCoy was a better guard then tackle and Jackson is to big for guard. Reason two next year. ben and Jackson can anchor the line and have full year of experience. To the Erickson, point they still had ok line and Erickson went from Jimmy pro style to early run and shoot offense with quick hits. Kevin Williams and Lamar were Yak monsters

Utterly unconcerned with rankings at this stage. Our job is to get better each week and try to win the conference. Good news is, beyond the IOL, our issues are highly fixable.

Yes, we looked like a top 10 team. You don't realize how many issues every top 10 team has.
