Miami cannot win the Coastal

pitt and uva have to lose 1 game each then we are back in the drivers seat.

pitt has: duke, unc, va and cuse left

uva has: nd(?), pitt and vt left
The problem is who each plays - and who they’re realistically likely to lose to. They (Pitt) play UVA and UNC thus losses also mean wins against us, with us only holding a head to head tie-breaker over Pitt.

Yes but unc has one more conf loss already (3) UVA still has to play VT, and UNC. If unc wins tonight uva will have 3 losses. Then Pitt just has to lose 1 more and we win that tie breaker head to head. Miami has to win out

If UNV or Va can get an upset win we're back in the picture...but at the end of the day we have to win out .

How the the huge WHAT IF, right now regarding TVD

We also have lost the tie breakers to UVA and UNC. They are not both losing 3 conference games.
And let's be realistic that we are likely to lose 1-2 more games considering who is running this team.
UNC already has 3 losses.
UVA is not good. They could easily lose again.

FSU is the toughest game left on our schedule. TVD and Lashlee could easily win out in spite of manny

Pitt would have to lose to Duke and Cuse, I think.
I don't care. I hope we win next week and become 5-4. Every time this fan base wins a good game or two we jump ahead. Which is silly.

Yes, we s/b favored each of the next 4 games, but let's pump the brakes. Our defense is still terrible despite playing the younger guys.

Miami wins out

Pitt beats UVA

UNC beats Pitt

Miami and Pitt finish with 2 losses, everyone else with 3+.

Miami gets the head to head over Pitt

Don’t think so. We have the head to head tie breaker. They need to lose once and we need to win out.
Don’t think so about what part?

UNC has 3 ACC losses (they own the tie breaker, but if we win out they aren’t in play.

Virginia has 2 ACC losses (they own the tie breaker, we need them to lose one more and we need to win out.

Miami has 2 ACC losses

Pitt has 1 ACC loss to us (we own the tie breaker, need them to lose 1 more)

Hence, if we win out, if UNC beats Virginia giving them 3 ACC losses, and if Virginia beats Pitt giving them 2 ACC losses. We would only be tied with Pitt and would own the tie breaker over them.
