You did not mention anything about worrying about their father. Is that an oversight by you? These guys are going to spend all week worried about their mamas and their brothers and their sisters and cousins and buddies.... they'll be thinking about everything except for football.
Maybe that goes for the coaches as well, to an extent.
Would have been better to get everyone out of town away from the chaos.
If anyone has time. They are big mad. Game Cancelled?
It is a tough decision, but also seems to be the right one especially if we cant get back to Miami that week.

So Miami is considering going to Atlanta? Come here, play us, and go to Atlanta after the game.
If Miami was playing at ULM or somewhere like that, they'd go. We are not a gauranteed win."

Just an interested observer from a B1G school and it is pretty disappointing seeing a couple of the comments in this thread and the hundreds on Twitter.
What's disappointing is their cowardly AD cancelling a road game and forcing the team to stay home in a category 5 hurricane. Every other team from Florida is playing their road game, so why did they cancel?"
they bring up some good points though, I don't get this decision

So instead of helping your family gear up for a potentially catastrophic category 5 hurricane, you would rather leave them to fend for themselves to play a meaningless game in Arkansas? Can't make this stuff up man you guys are clueless

You don't get it because it's not your parents and kids you're leaving behind to go play a game

I want them to beat FSU and not be distracted all week when they need to be focused and practicing.
I guarantee you not one family member of any player will be hurt by Irma. People like you just love to be dramatic and sappy.

You're either an imbecile or completely clueless to what a category 5 hurricane means in terms of devastation. The governor issued a state of emergency but the FSU game is much more important than the safety of families to you?
