@Poptimus and @Awsi Dooger ... keep dropping knowledge and ignore the overly emotional squares on here. There are plenty of people who are learning from your posts so please keep it up. Thank you.
I’ve interacted with Awsi Dooger for maybe 15 years about gambling and I think we have different styles. He is more of an originator, he uses power ratings and stats to formulate his opinion and bets it. I watch games and formulate my own opinion, too, of course, but I rely on technical analysis and line moves. If it goes against my personal opinion I pass. If I miss a key number I also pass. But if they match then it’s a bet.

I realized early on my own opinion loses more often than not. I thought I knew what I was doing. I clearly didn’t. But I’ve made money on the other side of the counter (so to speak), bonus whoring, and chasing steam. I come from a finance background so the same principles of technical analysis that apply with stocks apply with sports line moves. Instead of watching candlesticks of stock support and resistance prices using Level II software like a day trader, watching the volume and size of pending bids/asks, you watch casino spreads. The difference is there’s practically no scale in the sports gambling world and so you can’t get down large bets easily like with stocks, particularly on smaller market sports like the WNBA. Unlike with stocks, each casino is its own universe and has its own distinct line. You can go line shopping. Also, sharps manipulate lines every day, I t’s part of “gaming the game”. The SEC would charge you real quick with a pump and dump scheme with stocks. It requires lots of volume and you’ll be lucky to hit 55%. Excited yet? But you can pretty much retire laying -110 hitting 56% with volume and size. Oh and do not ever pay a tout for their picks.
