Miami -14.5 vs Louisville

Their OL is going to have to play their best game of the season to even keep this game close.

They are 74th in EPA/play on offense.
56th in success rate
60th in EPA/rush
81st in EPA/dropback
127th in the country in yards per carry
123rd in the country in sacks allowed per game

That's really, really bad. I respect Brohm and like i said, they have individual talent, but collectively they've been genuinely awful. If we give up close to 30 points I'm going to be incredibly disappointed, provided we don't gift them anything.
What is Louisville explosive play rate on offense? Only thing I can think that would neutralize our defense. Chris Bell long TD passes, Chris Bell breaks a tackle and runs for 40. Missed tackles on an Issac Brown TD run.

Or KO/Punt Returns for a TD.

Horrendous.

Bottom of the barrel in explosive rushing plays (8th percentile). About 34th percentile in passing explosives. They've literally sucked out loud at every single thing on that side of the ball all season. Overall 11th percentile in explosives. Miami, playing a far more difficult schedule, is 21st percentile in explosives.

The difference is, explosives are literally the only thing Miami has been bad at on offense. We are 70th percentile or better in every other aspect of offense other than explosives. Louisville's entire offensive profile is pure cheeks.

One thing I love to see, they are 10th percentile in yards to go on 3rd down. If they're in a lot of 3rd and 8's or more against this pass rush, I'm quite happy with that.

Style points absolutely matter, many are already starting the playoff politicking and if you think struggling with ACC teams is gonna be impressive, dont complain when we get lapped or drop a game because we start out hot and then take foot off gas ala Syracuse last year.

We lost against Syracuse. That was on us.

You only have to worry about style points if you slip up and lose games.

On paper this is a very favorable matchup. Should win by 2+ scores.

L'Ville's path to victory is pretty narrow. On offense their OL will have to play much better than they have. They will have to be able to the run the ball at us, and pop some explosives on the outside. Eliminate their turnovers too. On defense, they need to pressure Beck into turnovers, while limiting our run game.

I think Lyle and Lofton have big games, and I hope a 3rd WR does too.
Just watched the condensed Louisville vs Virginia game.

That wr they have is the truth and the RB has great burst.

I’m excited to see how our corners do because they feed the ball to him.

He’s a Kirkland brand Jeremiah Smith.

If we can control him and cover initially, Bain and Messi should eat because their oline cannot protect and we shouldn’t have to blitz on passing downs.

On offense, we should have some big plays since their DC likes to blitz. They seemed small on the dline particularly the edges and the LBs are light. They are quick but I don’t think they will be able to hold up with our power run game.

Football doesn't work like this.

FSU beat Alabama. We wiped the floor with FSU. If we played Alabama tomorrow, you think we're up 28-3 at the end of the 3rd quarter? We should be, right? Since we were against FSU and they're better than Alabama?

We're all better than this, gentlemen. This is like "I was dropped on Earth yesterday and like the football" analysis.

Now, I will say, we're a 14 point favorite for a reason. We're a better team. So, you're right, we shouldn't struggle with Louisville. But it's college football.

CIS's darling, Lane Kiffin, struggled mightily on Saturday to beat a team that lost by 49 (!!) to North Texas. Are we saying they (Ole Miss) haven't made any progress as a program? Because of the result against Washington State, are we saying they have no chance in Athens on Saturday?

Just win the **** game. If we cover, I'll be seriously impressed. But just win.

Can’t wait to see these types of posters that won’t be happy unless we beat them by 50.

Win the game. Don’t get anyone hurt, and move on. Style points don’t matter.

If you can’t see how going from compete irrelevance to a team widely considered a natty contender, I don’t know what to tell you.
I referenced in another thread that we're already being knocked due to the quality of our remaining schedule. Will it matter? Who knows, but to act like it absolutely won't is disingenuous.
And if you don't think it's worrisome if we are in a dogfight with L'ville then we'll have to agree to disagree.
Suddenly, everyone wanting to make Brohm out to be a wizard is all the rage.

Being knocked by who? Peter Burns of the SEC? This can't be serious dialogue.

A drop in the ML of -565 to -532 is something I’d like to see reverse a bit before kickoff. But let’s not view a single line move as dispositive; the move in our game against F$U was wrong.

Saying that we are in the ACC so we will need to be more decisive in our wins is one thing

Saying if we don’t steamroll Louisville then we need to question our entire progress as a program is just overly dramatic nonsense

I'm not looking to steamroll them, I'm looking for a supposedly better team/program to do what they should do and not be in a dogfight with a mid-level team.

Like no ******* **** dude. This saying dramatic stuff and then hiding behind blatantly obvious statements is so weird

You’re talking about something that hasn’t even happened yet and referencing some Twitter Texas Tech troll

Everyone’s darling Indiana was just in an absolute dogfight with Iowa. Could just go ahead and discuss this for every team in the country right now but I won’t
