Miami -14.5 vs Louisville

Statistically Louisville defense is just as good as Miami.

Will be a slugfest.

They play very aggressive at the line and create havoc for teams that aren't prepared or don't have the capability to stop it. Their defensive completion percentage is one of the best in the country because of this.

But they play down hill a lot and the safeties constantly bite on RPOs and play action. If the o-line can hold there's going to be a lot downfield. I think Toney is going to eat again.

As I've said, they were about to get blown out by Pitt. Pitt was up 17-0 in the 2nd and getting the ball back when they muffed a punt, then the next possession the punter fumbled a snap, then they threw an INT inside their own 20, then they threw an INT on 1st and goal at the 5. Louisville scored almost all their points off Pitt mistakes. They played UVA much better but UVA has a terrible defense.

Louisville’s offensive line is trash. Ranked 105th in run blocking and 117th in pass blocking. Their top three running backs all have ankle injuries, and the fourth guy is a true freshman walk-on 🤦🏾‍♂️. Miller Moss does not do well under pressure — he has a 35 passing grade when pressured and tends to put the ball in harm’s way. He threw one official INT against Virginia but also had three more that were dropped.

Chris Bell is a really good player — NFL caliber. Outside of him, Louisville doesn’t have any players that should be a problem for this Miami defense.

I expect a game similar to the Florida game defensively, but with more sacks and interceptions.

Louisville is 127th in the nation at yards per carry (2.88) against FBS competition.

what's more shocking is they haven't even played a good defense yet

even better news, Syracuse and Stanford who we play are both right next to them on this **** list

Pittsburgh is 106th, SMU is 79th, VT is 31st, NC state is 88th

They have played E. Kentucky, James Madison, Bowling Green, Pitt, and Virginia. We all know who Miami has played, do not let those stats fool you. That defense is just ok and Carson is going to carve them up.

Offensively they will not be able to function, they have one of the worst offensive lines in the nation. This defense will dominate them upfront.

Mario is good for one clunker a year. I don’t think it’s this one. Dawson has rolled 83 points on Louisville the last two seasons. This is the best defense we’ve had in a long time. I’m taking us to cover.

If we had beaten FSU two days ago and had the short turnaround I’d be worried. We were an afterthought for most of the time we were off. I don’t see the rat poison seeping in this week. Going to Pitt Thanksgiving weekend is what worries me.
He is, but it will probably be an away game. Look for it to be SMU, VT, or Pitt.

28-13. I could see it being a 13-6 game at halftime and then we pull away in the 3rd. Hold them to 1 TD for the whole game.

They haven't run the ball well their last 2 games which is their only power 4 opponents and If their goal is pass 40-50 times that's not a recipe for success with our Dline and if our back 7 continues to swarm the way they have the quick passing game shouldn't hurt as much. I expect them to go into their bag of tricks early.

2024: Appeared in all 13 games at both right and left offensive tackle ... started seven games between both positions.

2023: Appeared in 11 games as a reserve offensive lineman ... caught a one-yard touchdown pass in a 38-31 win at Miami.

Before Louisville: Appeared in 12 games (114 snaps) at Houston as a backup left tackle ... played 72 snaps on field goal/extra points ... 42 snaps at left tackle including 33 in win vs. Rice (Sept. 24) ... helped Cougars to 427 yards of total offense vs. Rice ... no sacks or quarterback hits allowed (16 opportunities) ... redshirted in 2021 ... named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team ... didn’t see game action.

Pitt is the one that worries me. After Thanksgiving. The week before the ACC title game, road, cold(probably), more than likely Pitt’s Super Bowl. We could in theory be locked into the playoffs, ACCCG and be looking ahead.
I just think if we are 11-0 going into that game one of two things will happen.

1. ACC title berth locked Mario feeling zero pressure to win it chooses to put some guys on a pitch count or rest them outright if they need it. We possibly lose the game.

2. Title game not clinched and/or Mario wants 12-0, we come in totally focused on the undefeated season and smoke Pitt
