Miami -14.5 vs Louisville

I think many have taken this approach. UL has played us very tough last couple of years and beat us at home last time. Brohm was initial coach who broke Guidry defense and he is great at scheming it up, coming off bye week. Plus they have weapons on offense at skill position. Their Oline is straight trash tho and we should eat but I wonder how he plans to scheme around that.

Plus caulin lacy housed us on kick off last year (doubt he even gets return this season) but he returns punts and avg 24 yards I think and already housed two.
Golesh and brohm have consistently put things on tape against us that teams have success duplicating the rest of year. If our defense plays well this game I am completely sold on this defense…. And I’m already 95% there.

Do you have some source? Or are you basing that off of the tweet? If so I looked into it briefly....

1. the tweet was from his pops. (which I have ZERO issue with a pops propping up his own son but obviously take it with a grain of salt) by way of example on other tweets where he promotes his son he for whatever reason repeatedly tags lil wayne.

2. on Oct 4th, he (pops) took a screengrab of the UVA game and his son on the field and said "guess who is back"

3. Doing a quick google search on one of the Lville blogs it said Sylvester was "limited" in the game against Bowling Green and he was not listed on the injury chart at all against Pitt there is also a tweet from the publisher of the Lville On3 page that noticed on Oct 4th Trevonte was playing on a drive and it led to a TD and he said he returned from injury "two weeks ago" That would line up with him coming back for Bowling Green on Sept 20th, being limited likely working his way back, played at Pitt sparingly and sounds like he played most of the UVA game.
The phrase "They feel he will take control over the line" tells you this is bs

Yeah I am sure he is better than the backup, hence why he is the starter, and he is seasoned so def a plus to have him back but safe to say if he is dealing with a nagging injury I dont think the DE's he has faced against Bowling Green and UVA are going to prep him for Bain and Messidor. "Better" in this instance still can be true without making the line "good"

this should have been another highly anticipated ranked matchup for us... Louisville lost in OT to UVA last week in a game they held UVA to:

237 total yards
19/31 pasing for 149 yards (4.8ypa)
32 carries for 88 yards (2.8ypc)

I didn't watch the game but it looks like UVA had 14 points directly off turnovers (61yd fumble return and 47yd pick 6) and a TD in overtime to win the game...

so, Lousville's defense held UVA's offense to just 10 points in regulation.. which is pretty dominant against a decent UVA offense...

There are some odd looking spreads from Vegas this week. Maybe they were off on a bender.

Our 14 sounds high for sure.

Even at home I can't see Puke beating GT, but Vegas has them as a small fav

1/2 the players are different and a DC playing ball from the 2020s so not sure what 2023/4 have to do with anything.
I get that the players are different it just that Louisville has been a team that scores points on us for whatever reason. Last 8 games going back to 2004 31 or more points in 7 of those games and 27 in the other one, I believe this years defense and will get the job done but it will interesting and fun to watch.

Brohm is a bad man, but we got this psychopath. If he wrecks Brohm too......

have you noticed his physical ticks when he speaks? when responding, he usually lowers his right shoulder a bit and brings it forward, almost like a tackling motion. I know he played on the other side of the ball, but the energy and mal-intentions that are going through him are encouraging

do we know what the injury was? cuz any "lower extremity" injury facing #3 or #4 is going to put him right back on the sideline..... Their OL faced 3 cupcake teams and got pretty abused... now enter our DL, on a Friday night at the Rock Asylum........ child please......

Nothing stated in the limited reports I saw. One said it was a "undisclosed injury" suffered in fall camp and forced him to miss the first 2 games, sounds like they have been slowly bringing him back up to game speed over the last 3-weeks.

This will be unpopular here but I can see Manny Diaz defense giving them some trouble.
Wake had them beat, until the refs decided to not call the most obvious offsides you'll ever see. It was so obvious the Wake QB took a low percentage deep shot, knowing the GT player was offsides. It would have given Wake a first down and they could have run out the clock. It was theft.
