Met a guy who interns for an NFL agent

Rex would actually make one **** of a college coach. His personality would translate well with recruiting. NFL lifer though...
This.

I think Ryan would be a great college coach. He would be able to recruit his balls off, players would love playing for him and he would have a dominant defense. I don't see him moving down the college ranks and even if he begged the admins to hire him for free they never would, he's too alpha for a **** like Blake James.

I don't know why he wouldn't move down to the college ranks. He wants to be a head coach, yet i doubt any NFL team wants him as anything other than a DC at this point. Wouldn't be surprised if Michigan swoops his *** up though

Would Rex Ryan be a good college coach?

I'm not saying he wouldn't. Just not sure if it's a slam dunk. Would he want to deal with 19 year-olds' bull****? He'd have to simplify his defense a little bit. I feel like he'd have to hire a good staff of recruiters because I think he'd hate it.

With all his contacts, he'd likely hire a kick-*** staff.

Obviously NoD has a pretty complicating defense right now because we "can't execute it" to save our lives. Rex's defense is pretty simple, DBs cover receievers, safetys play center field and the d line and line backers blitz like ****, which is perfect for the players Miami should be getting every year

No way on Rex Ryan I think his persona is great and the press conferences would be entertaining. He has openly said that he is absolutely clueless about offense and doesn't even show up to offense meetings. I'm not sure i would trust Coley having full reigns like that, if he was to stay aboard as a coordinator.

Chad Thomas, AQM, McCord, Grace, Harris, Jackson, etc blitzing every single down? Yes please.

That's Rex' defense. All he has ever needed to be able to do that are corners who can hold down man to man. Him teaching South Florida ballers proper technique would create shut down corners. Blitz all day, picks all night.

Coley as OC.

STATE OF MIAMI WOULD BE BACK.

If Rex Ryan was our head coach tomorrow, I'd not complain one bit. We've been down this road too many times now. Until it is official, I can't get my hopes up anymore. Somehow, someway, Al Golden is still employed at this university. The administration has found a way to literally **** me off every time I think of our current status as a football program. So many political *** holes that think they know everything about athletics. No wonder Al fits right in with them. He invented football and Marky Mark invented defense.

I heard from a friend in Hialeah (Raul Martinez) that the recently fired coach Chevas Clements would be a great match for The U. My sources several AD at Coral Reef stated he would be a great match and his buy out would cost next to nothing. This is a reputable source since he used to work for Shapiro. I know this might not be real, but it would be great for The U.

Golden is our coach, so suck it up and stop talking crap! It's all about The U

My sources tell me that has a 52% chance of being true.

Rex coming here has about the same odds of Golden getting fired this year..... That isn't happening so.... I'll join the little fantasy land some of you play on for a little bit though. I would personally guarantee, we'd be hoisting our 6th crystal ball within 3 years, probably even 2 if Rex was hired. Rex is arguably the top defensive mind in the NFL. His defenses are absolutely astounding. There is already pieces on defense to work. Chad Thomas, would definitely be a guy who'd get 10+ sacks. AQM and McCord would also eat. Rex would need to learn the college game a little specifically with roster management and recruiting. Golden 4 years in still doesn't know who to redshirt. Recruiting, I think he'd kill it. He'd have to hire a staff that knows the area though. Despite his lack of success these past couple of seasons, I heard his players love him. The guy has a ring from the highest level of football who helped build one of the greatest Ds of all-time. His track record would sell itself to recruits. Add on his likable personality, and I think he'd dominate recruiting. Kids would be lining up to come here. I would hope he'd keep Coley. Coley can have the reigns of offense. He's the OC/QB coach and from what I've seen, he has improved the better the talent got. Plus his recruiting is amazing. Kaaya, Lawson, Allison, and Centeio are awesome pulls and Coley is responsible for all. That's just the QBs, not even mention the other offensive players. F$U would be laughable to us if we were to get Rex onboard. Back to reality, this administration wouldn't fire their Golden boy and then throw money at someone like Rex. Rex would command way more than Golden ever did.

It's impossible to talk UM football right now without it sounding like your talking crap. When your staff is the worst in their conference even objective and honest discussion will come across that way.

If Golden gets fired, I will worry about the replacement then. First things first, fire Al golden.

All this talk about potential coaches out there has got me thinking. Have any of you guys given any thought to Butch Davis? I mean, he's not even coaching right now, and he really seemed to like "The U" in that movie I saw on ESPN the other night.

Rex Ryan and UM? lol. Never happen and it would be an awful fit. Rex is an awful head guy. Same for Hue. They are both coordinators.
