I believe so. Maybe it’s just because we’re so deep in Miami stuff that we see this but I feel like you never hear about this with other schools

Exactly. It's going to be a long road back considering how far off the path we went. I just hope we keep the offensive linemwn we have committed and I hope we can add a couple more via transfers
 
So let me get this straight, a dude making close to $2M per year, already set for life with his career earnings, can ruin an amateurs potental future career because he is God awful at his job, yet people don't expect young men to be upset about what's transpiring?

And how does ANYONE know how the conversation with Key and his mom went? Were any of you on the call or in the text messages? How do you know he went "crying"? How do you know if mom just asked how things were, or if she noticed her son was more down then normal and he proceeded to tell her at that point what Gattis stated?

If any of you believe that college football players don't talk to there parents, friends, former coaches and share the good and the bad pertaining to them or the team regularly, what rock do you live under?

Some dumb people in this world. Oregon has won 6 in a row since then, scoring 40 plus in all those games and with a QB in Bo Nix who they have completely resurrected from bum status. And oh yeah, Mario and his staff scored 40 points in a total of 3 games all season last year at Oregon. Another 1st time HC Lanning like Elko, running circles around Wario.

Bench players that you feel suck. Call them in and have 1 on 1 talks. Telling tge entire offense they suck is just stupid if true.
 
Whether Key told his mom and she posted it on her own or he told her to post it ( don’t think this happened) he’s the one going to have to deal with it with the coaches and teammates when it gets back to them.

Now some Of the players will be glad it got posted but the guys that are actually trying to do it right will be ****ed it wasn’t kept in house.

This type of sHT doesn’t do anyone any good and his mom should keep her mouth shut especially the way her son has played and underperformed this year and should realize her running her mouth on Twitter is only going to make it harder on her little boy.

Highsmith was brought in for this exact reason. To evaluate not only potential prospects and transfers but our own roster. The guy has built how many successful rosters in 20 plus years in the league. Between him and Mario I fully expect this roster to have a mass turnover. Times have changed and either you're going to be about the work and the process or your not. And if you're not you won't wear that U on your helmet.

I agree. But I hope they can sell it their vision over the putrid product. Plenty of competition for talent that currently showing a good product. It’s a buyer’s market out there.

Man, get all the way outta my face with this. Smith has had every chance to be a star here. But he can’t get it done. Can’t get separation, can’t get it off a jam, doesn’t catch contested balls. The coaches find something he is decent at, returning kickoffs, and he proceeds to fk that up by fumbling the ball, a huge game changing mistake. And you are really gonna sit there and blame the coach? Really? How about he shut the f up and work hard so he doesn’t get beat out by a Junior College transfer? Or stop fumbling a **** kickoff like every other halfway decent kickoff returner? How’s that?

It's a buyers market but there's alot of smoke and mirrors. Gotta find the guys the love the grim and grind of football. That's how you turn around a program.

How about the dude actually getting paid millions, does a better job at what he was hired to do then the actual players? Smith has one fumble all year, yet you think he is at fault? Lol.

And maybe you didn't notice, but it was stated Gattis called the ENTIRE offense trash. So whatever Key said to his mom, it wasn't about him, it was about what was stated about the entire offense.

You can talk that **** Gattis talked when HE earns that right, which he hasn't. You want the kids to be held accountable, but not the coach getting paid $2M per who has been dog ****? Yeah, like you stated, miss me with that bull**** and straight garbage.

Highsmith going to have to work to find those grinders and diamonds in the rough. Maybe Mario’s relationship with JC and high school coaches can help sway some top talent. Maybe the Miami market helps. But they have their work cut out for them. We are becoming a laughing stock.

It’s not just fumbles, he sucks *** as a receiver too. It is obvious dude hasn’t put in any work in the weight room. Gattis needs work, but he has adjusted his scheme to tailor it to one read Van Dyke. But the only receiver to step up transfered in 3 months ago. And by the way, these players getting paid too. He’s no longer a student athlete, he’s a working man now but not performing his job. Ohh and complaining to his mom when the bad man calls his team for being ******, which they are.

What no one wants to hear is the is a bigger picture project that will take atleast 2 to 3 years to build. Might come faster with the transfer portal but I'm not holding my breath.

Gattis is last year Broyles Award winner. He has earned the right and the players are garbage. You can’t polish a **** and even the best schemes will fail with trash talent

What’s worse is a player complaining to his momma about what should be in house stuff. Momma still thinks her kid still playing pee wee. What is she going to do when her kid gets cut from the practice squad in NFL?
