Meanwhile at Mississippi

C-USA titles..sounds like Willie taggart and norvell to me. Yes I don’t put much stock in his G5 stop. Like I dont for everyone. Because CIS told me they don’t want a G5 guy..nor do they want a guy who failed at previous stops..and I agree with that sentiment..the fact ppl wanna ignore his previous 2 major HC stops..it’s amusing

Y’all should really look into lane. Hes not the guy you want leading your program. Especially rebuilding..I’d take his *** as a OC quick and in a hurry..HC I’ll pass..tbh it’s the name value some love. And I credit his agent for keeping him relevant…I’ll say this tho..if somehow pres Julio pulls a Al Davis and hires him..he’d have my support.
I would take Lane. It might be scorched earth afterwards but I think he would get us to #6 moreso than Mario. A lot of HCs aren't saints (Urban has a past, Kelly got a kid killed). But if Mario is the guy he will have my support (until he doesn't lol). His OC/DC hires will be very telling.

If you’re hiring Mario because you’re worried about Lane getting us back on probation, fine. That’s a valid reason.

Because getting your **** pushed in twice by Utah doesn’t count as a valid reason

Smh Florida wanted a recruiter..and Napier is elite. Napier could’ve had P5 jobs for the last 5-7 years. But he wanted his first to be big time and he took the UF job. Yes everyt coach starts somewhere..lane somehow jumped that and got a NFL job😂..then Tenn. based on nothing he accomplished..is your main reason u want lane based on FAU??
I'm not saying either Norvell or Napier is good. I'm just saying you get better jobs by winning at the lower level. I'm happy they have Napier at UF. He van stay the ***** out of South Florida.

Personally, I want to take back the top recruits not only in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach from Bama, UGA, etc., I want Tampa where Clemson has a hold on.

This can hppen next year by going into Clemson and getting a statement win. Thst would break the dam in recruiting. So would winning an ACC title and getting to the CFP. I'm not going to say it happens next year, bit it's possible. I'd love Venables to leave Clemson for a HC position. That would make things a little bit easier.

10 win season in the SEC West. Lane is an offensive guru and QB specialist. You need that to attract top QBs. You can't get to or be at championship level unless you have a great QB and a great offense. Lane brings that to the table.

When TVD and Garcia are gone, what type of QB does Mario attract?

With Lane, I know we'll have a top QB room. We do now. I worry that could end with Mario. Oregon didn't have QBs ready in the pipeline and relied on the transfer Brown from BC the last 2 seasons. That worries me.

I prefer an offensive head coach as it's really hard to get and keep good OCs because they will become head coaches with the team's success and youhave to get lucky finding another one. You also have to learn a new system every 2-3 years when the OC leaves unless your Saban and tell the OC to basically run the same offense.

It can be done. Dabo has proved that. He also understands thst he needs and recruits elite QBs and WRs to be successful. It all starts with the QB, WR, and then the trenches.
