McElwain DA GAWD

I don't recall some posters in this thread holding Golden to the same standard in his first few years.

Funny how that works.
Lots of racism and potato in our fanbase. Same thing we went through with Randy at first just the other end of the spectrum.

It's entirely too much racism period especially this board. White guys can say what they want... Just like in society.. Black man says it he's a angry ****a or he's a monkey. Like how M3N said we should not hire another minority coach
Well in the same breath when Randy was getting criticized people were claiming racism. They couldn't admit he just stunk.

Clarrett was a freak and didn't the QB win the Heisman? Also had Gamble and many other very good players, IIRC

Once Butch gets here there are only two things between him and NC- Refs and the other refs.

Lmao yup VT and Fsu combined he was 3-13.. Yup Butch the savior.. Couldn't even do what Fedora just did..

Lmao great developer of talent.. average game day coach.

They were winning national championships while Butch was down 31 scholarships. FOH

So dumb, how is a 3-13 record against those teams relevant when Miami was on probation with severe scholarships lost for 4 oh his 6 years?

Take 5 seconds and inspect their schedule. You'll quickly realize that they (and not Iowa) are the biggest highly ranked frauds. By far.

You calling them 'frauds' implies that anyone anywhere thinks this team is a serious contender. They were picked 5th in their own division preseason. Each of the last three weeks we've been jumped by other 1-loss teams (deservedly so). This team is put together with duct tape. Check this out:

Preseason we had 6 scholarship olinemen, not even enough to run a second team. 3 of our top 5 linemen are true freshmen. We had 4 scholarship linebackers, we brought in a senior transfer from bum**** state just to have enough guys to play on special teams. We have 3 scholarship running backs with 2 of them being true freshmen. Our starting QB has been out the last 5 weeks. Yesterday our starting offensive guard, Riles, had to move to defensive tackle because we only had three healthy defensive tackles for the game. And they're frauds because they're winning close games with all those issues? I mean LMAO, because they should be blowing people out, they're soooooo talented. Clearly the reason they aren't blowing out people is because the coach isn't very good. Has to be.

My comment was based on national media portrayal. Like all the discussion was centered on undefeated Iowa not deserving that 5 spot but there wasn't a peep about if UiF should be at 8. It's just assumed to be okay because they play a (fraudulent) $EC schedule. As far as Mceltoof, I'm just saying that judgment needs to be reserved before Canes fans here show any signs of envy. Granted, he's done a nice job dealing with the issues you mention but that alone isn't indicative of any long term credibility based on the overall weakness of the UiF schedule and the fact that they did struggle with some real junk teams.

Their offense was very average, and Krenzel ( didn't win heisman) was average to above average . Every week they were in a dogfight . They just had a great defense and good run game.

LMAO Krenzel winning the Heisman. That team escaped so many losses that season. Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Penn State, Purdue, Illinois and Michigan. All those games were close and down to the end. Ohio St best players were the defense, punter and kicker.

Was thinking of Krouch, QB from Nebraska we faced in 01 Championship. Thus, IIRC. Bozo.

I have learn that when posters like a coach, they make excuses for why is he struggling. For example, people who support Miles and McElwain talk about their bad QB's despite both coaches being on the offensive side, and having much more talent then their opponents.

Malzahn, Miles, McElwain and Strong all have their fanboys, despite all of them looking very average this season.

You are correct, my humblest apologies. Spelling bee police.

Agree thats muschamps defense well see how good he is in four years with his own guys, but he did recruit well if he stocks it and continues to recruit that way than hes serious. The first class is good but u gotta keep on recruiting super classes . ag n randy recruited one good class than followed up by bad classes and that my friend will get u fired because its impossible to be successful when u do that
