Maurice Smith Alabama DB transfer

Lol apples and oranges...Everett Golston started for a top team and won multiple games as a starter..This guy Maurice SMith only played when a starter got hurt for a few games and the real backup (tony Brown) was suspended..and then he went back to the bench... If you call a guy having to wait untill his senior year to start at nickel who is 6'ft tall 195 pounds a baller I dont know what to tell you... he doesnt have nickel size he should be starting on the outside..besides my Bama people told me they only projected him to start at nickel to try to keep him there for depth..I was also told TOny Brown was ahead of him in the depth chart but he kep geetting suspended and therefore Maurice SMith got promoted...If Tony Brown wasnt a k nuckle head Maurice SMith would never play at Bama... True enough he has to be better then Henley or Mayes.... I am complaining that some of you [****gots think he is better then Elderand Redwine and you have no proof this is the case...Oh eya the proof is HE's From Bama!!! lol

Im gonna forgive you guys because its the off season but please realize you guys *** off every transfer we receive no matter how ****** they are..its amazing

He's not good because Tony Brown, who would be the most talented CB on our roster was slated to start over him? Your logic is ****ty.

No three corners on the team were better then him ... And he was older then all of them and had more coaching and experience in alabamas scene and still got beat out... I don't care what anybody says the 4th n@best corner at bama is not the best corner at Miami....

If the 3rd best corner at Alabama (I dont care about what if some guy wasnt a knuckle head crap, we can play that game with any team in the nation) ends up being the 2nd best corner here would that not make this a very valuable pick up? Its also possible he ends up the third best corner here which would mean a lot of playing time with all the nickle and dime packages teams run nowdays. Still, its a great pick up and nothing to whine about.

Every team has weaker positions then others and can use help with depth somewhere, even your beloved FSU. So what if our weakest position can make use of a projected nickle starter from one of the strongest units on the national championship team. It seams like every single person in this thread gets that except one.

I get it...I dislike the crowning of this guy when he has done absolutely nothing in his career so far....can you not understand? Most high profile guys from Bammy are off to the NFL in 3 years... this guy hasnt even played..

GUy was also going to take replace a second rounder at Nickel....that's why they wanted him back, he was going to take over for Cyrus and that's from a reputable source who's a bama alumnus and former player

all that matters is that he has been coached by Nick Saban for 4 years now, he is a DB guru. He will instantly be our best corner.

Who crowned him? Who on here is saying he will be one of the best players on the team, a first round draft pick and all american??? It appears he was going to play quality minutes for a quality program and happens to be in a position of need for UM. He is a one and done so it wont compromise any 2017 scholarships. There is absolutely no negative to complain about here. Your making a case against your own imaginary argument that nobody is stating. Talk about taking bleak to the next level

agree that it won't compromise any 2017 scholarships, but if we sign him we lose out on the hypothetical chance that Richard Sherman tries to pull of a Guerdwich Montimere scenario here. until i know that won't happen, i don't feel confident bringing this guy in.

Smith flat out said he wants to be a #2 corner. He's obviously being told he will likely start. Corn is a stud FB player but unproven as a #1 or 2 corner. It amazes me how defensive people are about Redwine. The guy wasn't highly regarded coming out of hs, he hasn't played meaningful minutes on the boundaries, and he didn't look good this spring. It's time to do cartwheels if Smith comes to the U. Add in the Texas kid and the weakest position on the team just became salvageable.

So blackvern is a Bama fan? Anyway, blackvern is dead wrong on this one. My canes need corners and he'll fit right in. Leggo

Adrian Colbert and Maurice Smith can turn our cb situation into a strength. We won't have any wholes that's to worrisome besides maybe Linebacker if Darrion Owens isn't ready.

Go read the thread..multiple people saying he will be our best corner and automatic starter.. That is called crowning...

IDGAF if anybody crowns this guy or not.

At the very least, we need him for depth, nobody can argue that. We just need him enrolled before practice starts.

I don't care where he ends up, the defensive coaches will figure out how to use him and where best to use him. My only concern is that he actually does show up at Miami. There's no guarantee of that.

I know what everybody's saying, and I know that the signals are that he supposedly has us at the top of his list. But until he's signed, sealed and delivered I'm not buying any of it.
