**Matthew Thomas/Denver Kirkland Live Updates**

No surprise with BTW guys- Coley and Grace are the ones we need. Dont expect bryant either! We got some guys we did not expect in AQM, Beau, and Edwards. Hang in there guys.

Burns, Carter, AQM, Beau, Olsen, + Coley, Grace, and Edwards is a good haul.

Thomas to our rival hurst no question but Grace is a good one.

Jesus CHRIST what does Ice have to do with Golden ******* this up? How is this Ice's fault?

What we know for a FACT, and now Kirkland and Thomas can finally talk about it, is that Golden ruined this whole thing by playing games with DK.

Thats funny because not long ago they said that Miami did nothing wrong. He was given a deadline and he balked.
 
If Golden did in fact say pull Kirk's offer at the late hour he did, then it is on him for the outcome. These are kids not businessmen who can see how the game is played. Al threw in his cards and got beat on this one. I am sure he will learn. Is it tough, yup but don't dwell on it and move on. Hind sight is always 20/20. Golden still is the best thing for the U but he best not make a mistake like this again.

don't think this helps anything hcanes. miami just needs to communicate better and go all out to build relationships. look at the negative attention the kirkland situation got. when shannon was there schools were begging miami coaches to stop by and recruit their players, they want miami involved. coming out and not offering any kids from a powerhouse pipeline school is cutting off your nose to spite your face, it makes no sense.

Exactly. Golden and staff shouldn't have pulled the offer AT ALL. Just likevMatt had the same opportunity, Kirk should have also had the same opportunity from the BEGINNING. Terrible mistake by Golden and staff.

This is the reality. The guy made a mistake and he'll have to learn from it. He's still the right guy for the job and can still turn this day around.

We don't have UM's side of the story, and we may never hear it. My guess is that Coley knew that neither Thomas or Kirkland were coming to Miami, and Golden decided to throw all of his cards on the table. When Kirkland wouldn't commit, he pulled the offer. Thomas can say that hurt our chances all he wants, but he was never coming here anyway, and Coley knew it. Again, that's just my guess, but it would sure be interesting to know the real story.

No, DK was the one playing games. Even his step father stated that they had a deadline from UM given Miami's need to manage a small signing day class. DK stated a Feb. 1 deadline in at least 1-2 interviews in the past. Yet he played the game, saying we were "in his top 3" but he couldn't give an answer yet.
 
**** just doesn't make any sense for me. Why not leave all offers on the table, get as many commitments as possible, and cut the ones who you don't want. Saban does it every ******* year and here the man is hoisting National Championship #4. Don't burn your bridges with any kid until after National Signing day. How hard is that to do....sheesh.

Giving DK an ultimatum will have the same result as giving any human being with leverage an ultimatum. Staff made a huge mistake

Lol if they do this. Good luck getting ANY big time player from the DADE area. Those coaches will pretty much ALL shut UM out completely. There's no way to spin it. Golden and staff made a HUGE mistake. Don't make another one in trying to shut out Booker T. As far as recruiting goes. If Golden and staff did this, they might as well just pack up

...and if he did that, and then other players panned out and he told DK he can't take him at the last second, I can just imagine the blow out that would happen then. It's a lose-lose situation when a kid wants to play games.
 
lets stop calling him 6 he hasn't done **** to earn a number as his nickname. can't wait to see duke run all over him
