Marshawn Lynch..."Is there a man here with you???"

He told the truth. Better for kids to learn discipline early than go through early life thinking they’re going to be rolling on easy street skating, only to arrive at adulthood & be straight thrashed to no end. Leading to a myriad of problems that plague our soft society today.
Marshawn Lynch is a man!

Part of the problem is the misquote of the Bible. It does NOT say "spare the rod, spoil the child". It does say "“He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.”

Believe in God or no, Biblical advice stands solid.

If you want preview of this soft crap getting worse pull some of the video of the Democratic Socialists of America convention in Georgia. Forget politics this crap is hystical. Some dude complaining that whispering was trigging his sensitivity to sensory overload. Worth watching. For old guys like me who remember the fights over getting drafted fro Nam, today’s kids are a joke.

They shoulda heard or seen what my coaches did back in Da Day!

Or the number of high risk kids, white, black or hispanic, that I saw saved from high school through college, because of the discipline and sense of family the game offers.

My parents would've cot**** cheered them on if Barry Foster or Merril Hoge or Warren Williams literally beat my *** on a practice field back in the day. Amazing that this is where we're at. Parents taking issue with a former All Pro/Pro Bowler coaching their kid but using some swears while doing it.

Everyone has different styles. I didn’t hear it that much in youth football, if at all, I don’t even remember it’s all a blur now, but you better believe in high school I heard it plenty.

I just don’t think it’s a big enough deal for some soccer mom to try to humiliate him like that. He’s the coach. If you really have a problem, take it aside privately.

Also the question is, is her problem with the cursing, or that he’s being hard on the kid. I’ll bet it’s 90% that he’s being hard on the kid. And you have to be hard on kids. There’s no two ways about it. Maybe you have a different style, but I know that that’s what I want.
It’s him being hard in HER KID. I’m 25 and even back in my childhood a family friend, coach, teacher whatever positive adult in my life had the okay to put me in my place on the spot if I was wrong..now a lot of these parents have the you can’t talk to my kid like that mentality..**** I’ve seen a 10 year girl cuss her mom out at a school..another parent tell the kid not to speak to her mom like that only to have the parent that got cussed tell the person “don’t talk to my kid, I’ll raise my kid”

...Parents want to be cool or friends with their kids...

This exactly.

Add in delegation of parenting/interaction with kiddo to tablet/smartphone/console/computing gods.

Often parents acting act "protecting" jr/little suzie monster is their shame as failed/failing parent.

People get fussy wussy when called on their ****.

Great video to watch: Gary Turk's "Look Up".

And why do you care whether or not a player refuses to talk to reporters? Lame *** stuff dude. Just sayin

I would say it is in his/her job description. Once an athlete steps foot on professional playing grounds/property they are an employee.

The world will eat you up and spit you out, if you grow up soft and having mommy fighting your battles.

Beast mode let slip a bad word while coaching up her kid. BFD. I honestly feel sorry for these kids with helicopter parents. The real world doesn’t work the way mommy set up your fake bubble of protection.

Good luck, kid.

Looked at the very best, a bunch of 10 year olds or younger. We want our kids not to cuss, you lead by example.

He did fine here until he cussed IMHO as there were still young kids running by and I would assume some young ones in the stands.

I haven't liked this dude since his super bowl media meet and greet. He was a petulant child repeating the same line to every question he was asked. "I'm just here so I won't get fined." That was a ridiculous scene many would've been happy to be in.

Lol “he did fine until he cussed”... Are you a Mormon?? Those soft *** kids play call of duty online and say worse **** everyday so gtfoh with this fake ****.

And fck the media and they *** *** questions.. I’m not waiting like a weirdo to read a bs quote from some goofy *** sports writer.

Some of you think that cursing at 9 year olds is just "coaching", then defend that low class behavior by claiming it's just liberal softness to be offended. Right there's your problem with society. At least it helps identify the stupidity of those justifying Lynch's behavior. Back in the day, if my father heard a coach cursing at a child, he'd step in and put an end to it. Every other dad I knew would have done the same thing. Maybe its because my friends' dads were cops, firefighters, and other hard working men with a sense of duty.

Men are supposed to defend children. We used to have a religious and moral obligation to make sure the next generation was being raised with the proper values. Apparently that's gone now and has replaced by "act ****** towards kids to prepare them to meet other ****** people in the future."

Funny how people say "kids hear worse on the playground" to justify an adult cursing at a child. Basing your behavior on how a 7 year old acts is not a particularly effective defense.
