Markieth Williams

My main complaint was the decision that was made to try and annoy the fans into giving them $25 per account. That's what happened and it's a slap in the face to each person who posts here. Some people fell for it but if you know a thing or two, you can avoid the BS ads and not give them $25.

As for the reporting, I appreciate what they do but it's also 99% romanticized. That's why I call it propaganda. At least 247 will keep it real most of the time and not pump everyone and everything up as sunshine and rainbows.

Just my opinion and no one has to like or agree with it. I also laugh at the "poor" reference. My take would remain the same if it were $1. Nickel and diming people for the **** of it is bull**** but people continue to do it because so many just go along with it. You see it happening everywhere. Pretty soon there may be a tip jar link for each story.
Man you are a one trick pony. Got it. You don't like ads. No one cares.

Except those who keep responding to me.

Look, this is all very simple. Stop crying about it, there's no need to be so asinine.

NO form of media is a free entitlement to you. If you want to watch a "free" broadcast channel on TV, there will be ads. If you want to listen to a "free" radio station, there will be ads. If you pick up a "free" newspaper or magazine, there will be ads.

This website has expenses. Networks that host websites do not do so for charity. Everyone has a business model. This one just happens to be like so many others that are AD-SUPPORTED.

Then, you were actually given an option, which is to pay a measly amount of money to SKIP the ads. But somehow, you distorted that in your head as "Danny and Peter conspired to create more ads, thus forcing everyone to pay a whopping $25". Which just isn't true. The ad function, such as it is, is set up by the host, which you can see below at the bottom of the web page:

Now, is it possible that XenForo shares some of the ad revenue (and/or the ad OPT OUT revenue) with the users of their platform? That would seem reasonable, as a website with a lot of users would be driving more overall ad revenue than a website with fewer users.

At the end of the day, nothing in life is "free". Danny and Peter may publicize CIS as "free", as in there is no annual or monthly subscription fee like there is on the 247 or on3 networks.

But XenForo is not hosting websites "for free". Everything has a price, the question is who pays for it. So either advertisers can pay for YOUR "free website", or else you can pay $25 a year to not fund your "free website" by staring at ads.

The choice is yours. Don't make it out to be something that it is not. If you don't want to pay, that's your decision.

Ads at the header/footer or side of a webpage like nearly every site out there that isn't infected with AIDS is one thing. Chopping up the entire page to place ads inside of viewing content is another. It was designed that way to annoy people into paying it the fee.

And you're right, it's my decision to do as I please.

id say there is a better way to include ads and not totally kill your site. when your site looks like a stream east with the ads, its not a user problem.

Who said it was a user problem? The original poster doesn't know what the **** he's talking about.

You get what you pay for. You pay for free, you might get a company like XenForo. This genius is acting like Danny and Peter intentionally did this and/or benefit from this.

The last of TRob’s celebrated DB class that turned out a complete and total bust. That guy was/is so overrated as a coach and recruiter.

Ironically there’s a Texas A&M tie in here. Aristide was our OLB coach that recruiting class and his primary recruiter. He’s now coaching under Elko. Maybe the Aggies can pick up Williams in January.
