Markel Bell is not hurt

That would be really helpful and result in a domino effect. I’ll believe it when I see it, though. Can you get your sources to tell someone to find a Center who will hold the point of attack if we’re going to keep the same run scheme? Ryan Rodriguez coming back, too, on an exemption?
I think Rodriguez is our Center next year but let’s see. I’d prefer to get a good one in the portal again.

It absolutely would help us but would coming back help him? Whatever issues he has won’t magically get fixed. Hes a finished product imo. I would be interested to see what advisement he gets from the advisory board. If they tell him he’s a day 2 pick whether he leaves this year or next year then what would the purpose be of him coming back. He maxed out imo. But again, him coming back is definitely great for us. Ridiculously great.

Yeah, NOW they're not...

That wasn’t the tune before the season started.
I passed along what a coach opined, but I don’t remember many posters agreeing.

Most of us had him as a Day 2/3 guy and a rapidly improving, good LT.

Yep. Check that “over/under” thread. There’s some people saying he’s a 1st rounder.
There's multiple threads where it was permeated throughout the offseason & early in the season.

I don't have a problem with it, that's just people's opinion. I just always find it hilarious when people try to act like I pulled that sh*t out of thin air.

Everybody NOW is saying Day 2/3 or coming back for another year, but from January - August that was not the consensus, like at all.

Yea just own it and say you meant he’d be a first rounder after next year 😂

No way we can go into next season with Rodriguez if we keep running this offense. Teams are just going to play Bear fronts and bully him. He is more suited for a zone scheme where his size can be covered up.

The Center room needs a hard reset IMO. I don’t think that SJ will ever be the star that coaches envisioned and Nico maybe is just a depth piece. I hope the coaches circle back around to Grant Wise and look in the portal for a bigger Center like Jackson Powers Johnson who Mario had at Oregon

Young fella would be crazy not to come back, assuming nice NIL package. No way he’s a 1st rd pick, nor Day 2. Believe Lance offered a very accurate assessment a couple weeks ago.

I think Bell should return for another season, he will get a nice nil pay day and likely be a 1st round pick in the 27 draft

Bell certainly has elite traits. If I were him I would get NFL advisory board opinions and compare himself to other OT's in the draft class. He needs to ignore any opinion with a vested interest. He will have a nice NIL deal in 2026. It's not an all-or-nothing decision.

Francis, on the other hand. is a no-brainer to declare.

Look I said early Bell was indeed late 1st ..
Which he still can become with a great combine because the measurable’s will be in his favor.

Now if he get a 2 or 3 round grade then , IMO Bell should enter the draft.. A one year
( I’m RISK my future to become a 1st pick )
deal for Miami of about 1-2 million, is not worth

    • Top 2nd-rounder: ~$9.6 million total value, ~$3.9 million signing bonus.
    • Lower end of 2nd-round: ~$6 million total value, ~$1.4 million signing bonus.
  • For 3rd‐round picks: total value tends to be a bit lower. Example numbers:
    • Highest 3rd-rounder: ~$5.7 million total, ~$1.2 million signing bonus.
    • Lower end of 3rd: ~$5.3 million total, ~$857 000 signing bonus.

and ability to sign his next in NFL contract a year earlier.

But why are we worry about OL ?
