Mark Walton

In 2012 Kevin Grooms had 23 yards on 16 carries against my kids after basically embarrassing everybody else he faced.

However, that didn't cause me to come to the conclusion that Grooms wasn't as advertised. We simply put too many hats on the ball for him to overcome...

WHICH IS EXACTLY HOW STUD RUNNING BACKS GET SHUT DOWN!!

So you think he runs a 4.3? yes or no

So why didn't scarlett run like a beast in the all star game. Matter of fact didn't he have 3 fumbles

Other than Adrian Peterson, name a RB that's balled out at one of these all-star games? They're made to show off Qb's .

None of the All-american's on the east team did well, including Cronkrite and Fraiser.

Bryce Brown

You're right. Mostly as a receiver out of the backfield and split out.

****, 2 RBs since 2004. I don't think there's been 1 RB that's balled out in the UA game.

So Scarlett is BO Jackson coming out of high school?

Maybe not Bo, but certainly one of the fastest players in the NFL.

In perspective, IF you think that time is accurate, then you think Jordan Scarlett is faster than Dorsett. .03 slower than olympic sprinter/Buffalo Bill Marquise Goodwin. Faster than Travis Benjamin. .02 slower than Jacoby Ford. Thats what a 4.3 is. He'd be tied for the 7th fastest player at the combine in the last 10 years

People are out of their minds.

Relative to every other big name recruit for 2015, he was. They all go to the opening and he had the fastest time. Who's to say that he won't run another elite time at the NFL combine.

Scarlett has better measurables but washroom has more instincts. Scarlwtt looks way more explosive. Walton looks more natural. Apples to oranges. Would never complimented well.

Normally if u rely on physical gifts, as you get further along things level off.
Ijs. They should BOTH be here

Thing about Scarlett is if he gets more crafty at RB he can be an impact player at any level. But timr will tell

No one is arguing that he isn't fast. I see the 4.3 tag be thrown out as some trump card. Thats ridiculous anyway. Might be one of the least important things to a running back.

I say he isn't running that time at the combine. Two college running backs in the top 20 overall in the last 10 years. They are Chris Johnson and Dri Archer. Neither one weighs 200 lbs. Archer is 174 lbs.

I say he isn't running that time at the combine. The only college running back in the top 20 in the last 10 years is Chris Johnson. He is at the top of list and he isn't 215 lbs.

Yet, he ran a 4.3, while being electronically-timed. 215lbs running a 4.3 is impressive, but not unordinary. Antoine Barnes from FIU at 240+ ran a 4.4 flat, and there have been other guys that play LB, DE, TE that have ran around that time. Vernon Davis and Ernie Sims ran 4.3s.

A 4.3 flat(thats what he is listed at) which is the claim is **** unordinary considering only 10 players have run that or under in the last 10 years at the combine. Kid ran a 4.48 at a camp in late May of 2014. By the time July rolled around for the opening he was down to a 4.3 flat. He must've loved that surface at The Opening.

No one said Scarlett wasn't talented, as I said earlier he didn't utilize all of his tools until his final season at sta.... It's not a stretch by any means to say he was a bit overrated from freshman-junior years...

Brown didn't carry the ball well... He was non-existent in that regard... However him and Taj Boyd connected on some nice passes... And I don't think Boyd is a career players want to pattern...

dammit mane... dude asked me to name one more running back and I did that. Now that doesn't count. lol... smh @ you guys.

Better yet name me another player that fumbled the ball 3 times in a all star game.

Both Jones (at USC now) and Harris (Alabama? now) looked quite good in the all-star game. The other team's backs (including Scarlett), not so much....

Couple things:

1. Anyone who thinks Scarlett isn't a freak hasn't seen him run in person. He sure as **** doesn't run a 4.3 flat but he's sub 4.4, in high school and at 210 lbs.

2. He needs space, just like Dalvin Cook.

3. The 3 all time leading rushers in the nfl.... Not one of them is a blazer. Vision and cuts in the hole mean everything in the pros.

4. I will echo what others have said that Frank Gore was one of, if not the best high school player from south Florida I've seen. Honorable mention to Vince Wilfork for making parents of offensive players scream that he was 30.

Walton* Scarlett* auto correct
