Mark Walton

The first play of Scarlett's highlights he shakes a defender in the backfield, completely out of his cleats, and then blazes a track through the middle of the defense.

Do yall really know WTF to look for when you watch tape? Defenders are melting around Scarlett.

Hard to argue with a homer....they just gonna have to wait and see... and yet they will still make excuses

Bro it's the same **** they said about Collins and Sony when we lost them.

Exactly.

I don't know if it's a Dade County bias or they're just bitter cause Scarlett is not here. They did the same thing when Sony committed to Georgia and Collins committed to Arkansas.

I watched both of the tapes and Walton isn't in the same league as Scarlett IMO. Walton doesn't look like anything more than a good high school RB, while Scarlett looks like a 215lb kid who could succeed in the SEC yesterday.

When projecting players for the next level you're looking for kids that make their competition look silly on the high school level. (not just make some decent runs) Scarlett makes people look stupid. He's clearly a superior athlete than everybody on the field. We're comparing a kid who's 210+ with 4.3 speed to a kid who's 185+ with 4.6 speed.

There you go with this stupid chit again... Scarlett didn't look superior when he had to play against Booker T, matter of fact he looked scared as ****.

Size doesn't mean chit if you don't have heart. Miami football was and will always be based off of speed and heart. You sound like Al Golden right now.

You obviously don't follow my posts if you think I'm all about size.

Your evaluations are useless anyway. You're an off-the-wall contrarian.

So tell me what you see in Scarlett to make you think he's better than Walton?

Uhh...the fact that he's running through defenses like they're standing still.

The fact that he's 210+ and still the fastest person on the whole field.

The fact that I've been watching him do this since he was in 9th grade.

Dude has a gear that Walton doesn't have. (i.e. Cook vs. Yearby)

So you actually believes he runs a 4.3? smh **** we do have some stupid *** fans

I wasn't big on Scarlett until this year... That boy took it to another level... That being said, I felt Walton took it to another level as well... I don't think he's better than Scarlett right now but I do feel he will be good...

That Scarlett is soft **** was being spread during his junior year. Some people were saying it during the homestead game. It was funny to see him drop the shoulder on someone during the next play. I also hear that he would be "disinterested" at times. I know that at STA, that kid made elite plays. I remember him making a kid miss and running for a 60yd td against a well coached heritage team that had plenty of D1 talent. In-fact, his only game that he didn't ball out was against Bosco, which stacked the box with 8 on every play that wasn't a third and long.

Bruh do you see the angles he's outrunning players? If it's not a 4.3 then it's a 4.4...

You're a stupid mothafvcker for watching that tape and NOT THINKING he runs a 4.3. SMH

The ability to make people miss, the ability to stop and start and get to top speed in the blink of an eye...He also outruns angles easily...The tape that was posted also shows Scarlett running through people finishing runs and falling foward..besides that yea Waltons better

So why didn't he run like that against Booker T?

Exactly.

And some of those teams on his highlight tape are filled with kids who can run, and he's making them look slow.

Both are good as I have said earlier in the thread Walton always showed up and has been the more consistent player throughout their highschool career. However Scarlett game transformed in his senior year and ran like how he was supposed to run with his mesurables and speed... I know what I saw during Scarlett's sophomore and junior year, he ran scared at times and got absolutely shut down when he played btw in 2013.... If you think Walton isn't good then you are sadly mistaken.

University's Oline was big, but nothing to write home about. Other than Beard and Wilson, I would see coaches acting fools during the pregame for Uschool. One would walk around with a camera hyping up players to record them talking **** LOL.

Notice that USchool NEVER beat a good opponent. Manatee, Central and Booker T were all losses. 2 were blowouts, despite having a team with a bunch of D1 kids. There are kids from that team are still being highly recruited.

Or in 2013 when they played norland, manatee, and Boyd Anderson he didn't do sh*t

Other than Adrian Peterson, name a RB that's balled out at one of these all-star games? They're made to show off Qb's .

None of the All-american's on the east team did well, including Cronkrite and Fraiser.

I love the old "he didn't do anything against _______" logic.

I didn't know RB's could do everything on their own.

all I know is I go to many St. Thomas games and Ive been on the sideline several times last year.... Ill be **** if he is not one of the most biggest most explosive running backs ive seen. His explosion is elite......Once he gets pass the Dline...oooohhweeeeee

In 2012 Kevin Grooms had 23 yards on 16 carries against my kids after basically embarrassing everybody else he faced.

However, that didn't cause me to come to the conclusion that Grooms wasn't as advertised. We simply put too many hats on the ball for him to overcome...

WHICH IS EXACTLY HOW STUD RUNNING BACKS GET SHUT DOWN!!

The school that I coached for played Killian in 2008. It was Lamar Miller's senior year. We beat them and he had 19 carries for 29yds.

Jaamal Berry had the most yds against us that year with 63.

Don Bosco was Scarlett's worse game, while at STA. Funny how well coached teams with less talent do better at shutting down stud RBs or good offenses than teams like AH plantation that are loaded with talent.
