bite 3 - middle.jpg

When Coach Richt talks about the "middle" of the sandwich on the 3rd bite, I'm pretty sure he's talking about the importance of prioritizing and attacking the hashes this season. Also, I interpreted this to mean he's on an Xs and Os bender.

Similar to what Baylor did under Briles. He'd have his WRs far outside the hashes to open up the middle more to create space for his playmakers. Gotta use the whole field.

Chip Kelly too

makes sense knowing Mark met with Herblick earlier this year.

I won't be sold on Richt until I know his stance on whether or not a hotdog is a sandwich.

If we start incorporating some motion and deception and start using the middle of the field more in the passing game while incorporating a QB whose legs the defense has to account for this offense should be unstoppable. I'd hate to see the same basic shyt we saw last year.

One potential fly in the ointment is that conservative coaches don't like to throw in the middle because there's more traffic there and more chances for tips and turnovers.

Coach Richt just has a genuiness to him that's cool. Even when diagramming a ten-bite sandwich.

Last year's offensive system was probably close to "Structural Purist, Ingredient Neutral."

My hope for our offense it'd be split between "Structural Purist, Ingredient Rebel" and "Structural Neutral, Ingredient Rebel."
