VanGorder was the HC at Georgia Southern 1 year, Callaway was fired at UAB, jury still out on Bobo.
You say that people poach from winning staffs yet no one was poaching UGA coaches. Isn't that at all concerning? Perhaps they get over the hump, win a few more SEC titles if Richt had hired great assistants.
Its a wait and see since we don't know who will be on the staff, I hope he makes great hires. Just because we are commenting on a legit concern about Richt doesn't mean we hate the guy.
VanGorder was also a DC in the NFL for four years, and Neil Callaway was head coach at UAB for five years. Muschamp got fired, so is that a black mark on Saban's résumé?
I haven't followed the career paths of other Georgia assistants, so I have no idea what they've done. I'm not overly concerned by this. I'll be a little concerned if Richt hires some dog**** DC.
Muschamp is still in high demand. Fired at UF, bidding war for his DC services, hired at SCarolina.
Its not a good thing when one of the best we can come up with for Richt in 15 years is a guy fired from UAB (but he lasted 5 years going 18-42) and currently a OL coach at WKentucky.
Again, I'm hoping he hires monster assistants. However, his track record is mediocre and could explain why UGA was never able to get to the promise land. NCs are all I care about at Miami.
