If Mark Pope played in Bama’s offense I think he would’ve had a much better cfb career.

If he went to Bama he would be lucky to have 1 catch in his career at this point.

He's not a Jeudy, Ridley or a Cooper type of guy, but more of a Xavier Williams kind of guy .

He's still a solid player. Don't know why we have a thread ****ting on him. Lol. This fanbase is wild.

I’ve noticed that Pope has changed to become a force at WR , he wasn’t before lack of focus and desire.

Now he wants the ball in pressure situations , someone is mentoring him I know it good for him .

Pope humbled himself in recognizing he needed to change and he’s work in progress .

This bowl game LOOK OUT he now knows how fleeting his gifts are and to turn it loose

Next year he’ll shine

How was he rated a 5 star? Doesnt have great size and he ain't no Santana Moss. Freaks like Andre Johnson and Jerry Jeudy are 5 stars.

They don't always get it right in recruiting services.... remember Ermon Lane???

The football quicks are a real issue. Guy has next to zero shiftiness or change of direction ability. I think his career YAC is like 4 yards.

Also, his lack of productivity in HS was alarming. I recall most people overlooking it because he was an elite kind of prospect.

If Mike Harley can finish a season with 700+ yards receiving and 7 TDs, so can Mark Nope.

Mark Pope is listed at 6’1” and 175 lbs. For Pope’s height, that is pretty light. I have seen Pope get manhandled and ragdolled coming off the line at times. Pope is fast, but IMHO, he should be around 190-195 lbs in comparing him to other So FLA elite 5 star WRs. He needs to spend more time with Feeley in the weight room and on the training table. For comparison:

Jerry Jeudy 6’1” 193 lbs
Calvin Ridley 6’1” 190 lbs
Amari Cooper 6’1” 210 lbs

If you watch Jeudy in the nfl ts so easy to tell he's from south florida bc he has that 7 on 7 footwork on his release at the LOS.

Except me...thats what stood out with him and Wiggins. They werent putting up the stats im use to with s.fla elites. I mean our elites can have a small amount of catches but then you would see their td receptions be high.

For example they would have 20 catches 400 yds 6-8 tds. Wiggins and Pope were pedestrian as **** their jr and sr years.

He will be fine. He hasn’t played in the same offense more than once. I think he will have a big year next year.

Hard to tell about some of these guys, lashlee Is his third system third offensive coach hard to be consistent. Same with Payton, hopefully Lashlee stays and we get some confidence. Sometimes the offense and defense is lost. Was disappointed in how we used some guys, like Jordan and Mallory. When Jordan was out Mallory played great, when Jordan was in they hardly threw his way.
Hopefully he will continue to improve, but I agree he is not in the same category as guys like Devonta Smith and the other guys you mentioned. I hope the dolphins draft him, Devonta Smith he just gets open and is bad ***.
