Really want to land Matthews and Gamble from STA in the class.

He picked OSU over UM

Suspicious Futurama GIF

Saw some jalar Holley-esque dancing and antics in a vid of this kid. We sure he’s got the temperament Mario is looking for ?

Georgia, Miami, and Texas A&M are the schools with the highest possibility of getting an official visit from him. Matthews is still looking at a summer commitment just before his senior season.

Commit and decommit to each team with monster bag 💼 from each throw in a marching POPARAZI BAND should do it all NCAA approved

This kid is obviously highly rated and will be $$$$ to get him.

Does Miami see him as a starter for year 1? Or at worst, year 2? Because if he's not starting by year 2, he may not be worth the $$$ to sit on the bench for 2+ years.

My brother in Christ, if we want to stay on the current and awesome trajectory we are on, we will recruit this kid to the end and pay the money necessary.

I'd hate to lose him. A guy that highly rated in our own backyard at our best coached position would be a bad look to lose.

But if the coaches aren't as high on him as Mauigoa and Cantwell, and he's asking for similar $$$ to start, then I can understand if we don't get him. Mario is willing to pay for guys he believes in. Against anyone. We proved that with Cantwell.

So if we don't get Matthews, the best possible explanation to me is the coaches just don't value him quite as much as a Mauigoa or a Cantwell. And that's ok.

It would be hard to rationalize any other explanation besides "he just didn't want to come to Miami"

If he's a Mauigoa type prospect, then yes we should do whatever it takes to get him.

Good question, was watching a podcast yesterday and they mentioned Cantwell got 5M for 3 years and if healthy he's one of our starting OTs this fall.Is Mathews worth the same and is he starting here as a true freshman.

Well pancakes number is fixing to fall off the books and would go to this kid on top of whatever it takes to fill in the new number for a top tackle in 27 compared to 23/24.

He definitely looks like he’s a future first rounder and he’s playing legit comp
