2027 Mark Matthews 5* OL from STA

We absolutely can not let this kid go elsewhere. Continue to stack the **** trenches, especially if dude is from a south Florida powerhouse .
Why would he?

Best OL development in America.
Playing for the NC.
Hometown team.
Fair NIL.
Relentless recruiter as a HC.

If he goes elsewhere, it's hard to believe there's anything else we could have done.

Just say you don't want to commit, no need to look stupid doing it. By that logic, he shouldn’t commit anywhere, since coaches can leave or get fired at any time
The more I hear Matthews talk the more it confirms he’s a huge space cadet and needs to go to Colorado with Dion , perfect fit

Local, 5 star OT isn’t drooling over playing for Mario and Mirabal? While we’re in the nation championship? Really dude?

Boy some of yall are reaching on this comment lol. It was just a hypothetical. More choose the school more than the coaches type thing.
I take these edits with a grain of salt too. A lot of times these kids are led in a direction by the question and then it gets posted.

Buckle in boys…when we win this natty it’s only going to get worse. There will be multiple media outlets, coaches, etc. trying to make Miami look bad. They don’t want us running college football again.

Agree. I’ve been saying for 7-8 years this interviews mean nothing . Like the news there’s always a hard slant.

This is a big one, for reasons beyond his talent (which is incredible). It’s about sending a message and creating a precedent—wherein the University of Miami is able to lock down the top recruit in SoFla.
