2027 Mark Matthews 5* OL from STA

at best, this kid makes his commitment before STA season in August. But wouldn’t surprise me if this kid takes it to end of cycle. I get it from business, as it keeps schools to continue to expand the money, but it does hurt the momentum a little. After Linnear and Izzy, if we land Matthews and flip Jacobs, the motion would be crazy for Miami in recruiting buzz. The dominos would fall real fast

The dominos fall sooner than later because of NIL. Sure players like Matthews will always have their bag available but by the time ESD rolls around and you still arent committed, a bunch of money is no longer there - its always a finite amount. The time to negotiate is now through the summer, and we are seeing kids commit earlier because of that.
