In comparison, during that same 8 year stretch;

Alabama has had 6 1st round picks at OL and 13 drafted overall.

Georgia has also had 6 1st round picks at OL 18 and drafted overall.

Ohio State has had 4 1st round picks at OL and 15 drafted overall.

Point is this, OL can actually go to other programs and expect to get developed just as good, if not better than had they chose to attend UM. Doesn't take away from how good Mario and Alex are at developing OL, but they aren't the only ones who can develop OL.

Not directed at you but certainly there are other schools with a good OL track record. Bell becoming a day two pick in round three is some of the most impressive development I’ve seen because I thought that dude sucked when they got him.

I posted before last season that I didn’t see why Mario is considered elite at OL development. Then we go to the Natty with Bell capably anchoring the left side.

Iowa, ND and aTm can all develop. The thing is that Miami certainly isn’t any lesser of a developer of OL talent than aTm and I think we were better last season than they were. So if it isn’t money, It’s perplexing to people as to why a local would choose to go to college station over coral gables.

Bell got drafted off of size and potential. And he tested fairly well. But his run blocking is basura and in pass blocking he had help on his side around 60% of the time. Eagles reached.

I don’t disagree but they did a good job with making him serviceable. They maximized his abilities. Thats a stellar coaching job by them IMO.

You’re the one that started this based on this comment lmao. Unlike just saying hey A&M is pretty good with Oline too you chose to go on the attack against anyone who could possibly defend OUR Oline production. I just pointed out a fact, you got mad about it which is a funny thing to get mad about for a Miami fan lmao. And even worse your Points are basically entirely about them having an extra 7th rounder than we did lol. Their guy was a 7th <20 picks before Mr Irrelevant, our Center was a UDFA… maybe its that he was a cbs All Americans vs their zero that got you upset though lol
