All the other elite teams have no problems adding elite players every year
I comment often and praise Mario a lot more than I do criticize him. He’s the right man for The U, but I will also acknowledge when he’s getting bodied on the trail and he is right now.Must be a ****** existence to sit around all day waiting for bad news so you can run here and validate your existencegetting BODIED on the trail right now.
I’m just saying osu and uga has top 5 classes every yearAll the other elite teams have no problems adding elite players every year
Really?
Lots of elite programs worked hard and failed at recruiting many of the elite players that we landed, who helped UM beat many of these said elite programs.
We currently have a roster containing highly recruited kids who are going to be unsatisfied with playing time this upcoming season because we are deep.
Are we really going to do this?
You spend that kind of money on kids that you depend on playing a lot next year. If you can't get it through recruiting HS kids then you spend it in the portal. If we're not spending big $ on a premier OT or upping an offer to Jacobs or the DT from Chicago or Henderson then who are we spending on?
Retention?
We’re poor nowthe amount of copium is strong in this thread
sucks but this has happened the past two years
we get fed a ton of spring hype and one by one we miss miss miss
Yet we retain a highly talented and deep roster every year in a college football world of year to year free agency.the amount of copium is strong in this thread

Look at this clownWe’ll probably whiff on Olu too
A miss yes, but sometimes a kid just does not want to come here. What more can Mario do? At some point its still a 16-17 year old KID deciding. If he actually signs with anyone but Miami it's a flat out inexcusable miss, just absolutely no way around that. Our program is literally built around OL/DL but really OL considering Mario. You don't let the #1 OL in the country who happens to be less than an hour away go anywhere else.
If Matthews moves first, and current intel suggests he could, then that decision will directly influence Olubobola’s path. A Matthews commitment to Texas A&M would likely shift Olubobola’s trajectory elsewhere, with Miami emerging as a logical landing spot. If Matthews returns to Miami’s side, the Aggies would be in a prime position to close on Olubobola. Ishmael Camara is another one we are watching closely with the Aggies being highly active in his recruitment too. Oregon and Texas are high on his list as well.
Nebraska, Ole Miss, Notre Dame and Auburn, among others, remain involved with Olubobola, but this race continues to center around the same two programs battling for Matthews.
There is also increasing buzz that Olubobola’s recruitment is accelerating. At one point, there was a belief that he could come off the board first. Now, momentum points toward Matthews potentially making the first move, with both timelines tightening as official visits approach or begin to wrap up. Things are still very fluid for both.
