Miss me with the fans are crying/Miami fans are the worst BS. The staff created the expectations when they put out through multiple sources not too long ago that we were going to be in the running for the #1 class. Where do you think the Miami leads for Jacobs, MJC, Mark Matthews, etc. stuff came from? DMoney, Gaby and Fong didn’t make all that **** up themselves. Staff created expectations by what they put out through friendly media sources and hasn’t delivered thus far in this cycle.

Staff didn’t do that. Wiltfong said that and it was just based off the guys they were targeting. Wiltfong also said the same last year
 
Every year it’s the same ****; starts with “we’re getting everyone” to missing on most high profile targets and resulting in a 8-12 ranked class… fortunately we’ve been able to supplement with the transfer portal. This year is no different.
 
I remember many years ago go this baseball player retired after 10 years or so , made over a $250 million plus dollars plus incentives and incidentals.

One of his quotes:

This is an issue we will encounter going forward.
A few years ago we were recruiting to stock the team with elite talent, to be on the same field with the elite teams.
We selled playing time on a team trying to rise vs elite teams that were stocked with talent across the board.
We have risen to elite status which means schools will recruit against our stocked roster.
This is not unlike 2002-2005 era where we still had alot of talent but not adding enough elite thanks to other schools selling PT. Coker and his staff failed to overcome this problem.
I can be wrong, but I think Mario, his staff and the school are in better position to do better.

All the other elite teams have no problems adding elite players every year

Let's say I'm a little more privy to info than you are. No need for me to get a grip. I call it how I see it. Facts are facts.

And stop with the prima donna nonsense. The overwhelming amount of these kids are just that. Save the, "we only want kids that really want to be Canes" bull----****. This is the NIL era, we are getting tons of kids that are ONLY coming because of the bag.
 
Ahh the preseason Miami can have the top ranked class lasted about a month again 😂


Maybe if I up my canesconnection by $5 we can get Mathews 😂

I asked this an hour ago (which is now like 1000 pages back) but everyone was so busy arguing over who is to blame for this announcement that has already happened that no one has had the time to send me the link of it. Evidently it was said in Pete’s discord. Seems like it’s trending away. But so was Cantwell at the 11th hour of his recruitment. Just seems like the people wanna ***** have found their new griping method. It’ll be rinse and repeat next year when we miss on a player. Cause it’s gonna happen literally every single season.
